I won't mention names but some of them seem to be popular for....not a lot really. Certain people come to mind who have a reputation for being straight talking and funny but most of the time I don't see it. I find them rather disagreeable tbh. Is it just me?

I've deleted Facebook as having A Bit of a Shit Timeâ„¢ in real life.

So I thought "I'm going to give MN another chance"

And it's been hard. As someone up there said, I look down Active Convos and discount most threads immediately "GF, troll, bollocks...etc"

And then I stumbled across this thread and joined in early ish on. Came back this evening to read the further 5 pages and have laughed and grrrrr'd and really enjoyed seeing old names and then new names, having a larf.

It's warmed the cockles of me soul it has.

I would raise a glass, but as I'm now a teetotaller (5 days in, first time I've ever decided to quit) I shall raise a custard donut and a glass of fizzy blackcurrant juice [fizz]

Perhaps it really is "just me"

Well depending on what your previous names were it isn't just you because I was pretty recently accused by a poster in adoption of being horrid to anyone who didn't agree with me. So she obviously thought I was rude and a few people agreed with her so I am obviously am a great deal more horrid than I had ever realised. I am however hoping (off the back of this thread that this also makes me popular)

Peculiarly I had never previously hear of these posters, they admitted they'd never posted in "Adoption" before and presumably hadn't felt like pointing this out to me whilst I was actually being horrid to anyone (in the interests of actually helping the victim).

The thing is I am a bit of a sitting duck for accusations of being mean/sarcastic/unreasonable because I have posted plenty in some sections over nearly 10 years and I rarely if ever name change. I can think of many occasions where I've been less than polite on some occasions.

Being accused of not being perfect enough by someone who's never posted in a particular special interest board is bizarre though.
