They must be extremely mysterious "businesses". I wonder what they are. Presumably they are companies, with names, registered in the UK, which are traceable. Its remarkably fortuitous that a two hit wonder many years ago had the foresight to set up several "businesses" which happily provide him with an income huge enough not to have to hold down a salaried job and live in an expensive home and support a large extended family.

I also wonder why he doesn't talk about these "businesses", since everything else in his life is up for public disclosure. Are we really to believe that the Botoxed Orange one wouldn't talk about his own successful businesses, even if only to boast, if indeed he did run them (in the spare time he has between media appearances)?

I just don't believe that he didn't take a few million from KP in the divorce settlement. I suspect its much more likely that said settlement included a privacy clause which she has adhere to on its terms and a trust of some sort in favour of their children which technically means the money didn't go to him, but since he lives in a gorgeous expensive large home, he gets to enjoy the benefits.

I also heard KP had to sell a previous house to (re) finance it.

I love these threads. I remember Sparkling and Buppers on one when I was going through a rough time and it really cheered me up.

He is a multi millionaire in his own right and has fragrances, magazine deals, a record deal, tour income, presenting jobs, a coffee shop chain and is an investor in property. Yes he made money as part of Katie and Peter, but so did she.

There are so many posters absolutely determined to hate him based on speculation and musings that I really cannot fathom it. Is he a murderer? is he a paedophile? No! so why the massive investment in what his businesses are or whether he did this or that?

I genuinely don't get the vitriol. I've never seen anything like it about anyone else on Mumsnet. Many of you are determined to believe snippets that don't amount to fact whether its true or not.

I just think life's too short to put this much effort into hating a celebrity who is not actually guilty of a crime or physical abuse..

I'm sure I speak for all Peter haters when I say that it doesn't really take over our lives. We still manage to have careers, hobbies and families while hating Peter.

Everything he made was due to being attached to her. He was an utterly washed up hasbeen without her

It riles me that he slut shames her for being exactly what she was and what made him his money

Erm, Bit, he makes his money out of publicity-seeking! You know, reality tv shows, selling stories to the newspapers about his family and ex, tv shows about his family life, and so on. I can't say with any certainty whether its shameless or not, but the mudslinging on his ex, without whose influence he would be an unheard of nonentity these days, does seem quite a shame.

Surely exac same can be said for her? She wasn't 'big' when they hooked up...

Also, I watched that I'm a celeb - she worked hard to convince everyone that Jordan was her work persona and Katie was her real self so maybe he wasn't so unreasonable to not expect to be married to 'Jordan'.

Anyone watching that I'm a celeb will have seen that she tried to discredit him even on the show. She went round whispering to everyone that he had suggested a showmance so they could earn money - he had done no such thing and when asked about it she claimed she had got wires crossed Confused

It's her MO, belittle her men, esp wrt to their financial worth compared to hers, then when they've split up, publically state they have a tiny c*ck.
