DTD and found out he had shaved legs and tribal tatoos - run away?

I'm dating someone a bit younger than me.

Now found out he has a lot of tribal tatoos on one side. I just don't get them, it shows no creatively or individuality and I do think less of him now.

Once I'd got over that I realised that he shaves his legs. I've never heard of a guy doing this before.

Run a mile or are these normal things these days?

I once ditched someone when I found a Westlife CD in his music collection.

Nothing shallow about that though.

Many many years ago I had a fun night with a very good looking young man, sadly I had to run when I noticed the dolphin leaping into the sunset tattooed on his back. A fecking dolphin. And a sunset. BLECH. WHen I mentioned it he told me dolphins were his spirit animal. FFS.

Of course it was shallow. I was 20 though so guess what? Most of us were shallow. Sue me. OP you are not BU.

Feckingfeckfeck · 24/09/2015 11:52

squoosh no I can honestly say I have never broken up with someone for shallow reasons.

squoosh · 24/09/2015 11:54

Well I have and I've no regrets!

Feckingfeckfeck · 24/09/2015 12:10

Ok?

squoosh · 24/09/2015 12:16

Yes okay.

It's fine to be put off by someone's tattoos if you're not a tattoo person. Or their hairy toes, or their beard, or whatever.

They don't give out medals for going on a second date with someone you're not attracted to.

reni2 · 24/09/2015 12:39

Agree with sqoosh. I would argue it is cruel to go on further dates with someone you don't fancy, giving false hope and encouraging them to get attached when it is a no-go.

Feckingfeckfeck · 24/09/2015 13:22

Just don't understand why you're starting a discussion with me that's all, I didn't say it wasn't ok?

squoosh · 24/09/2015 13:24

I thought that was how forums generally worked.

Feckingfeckfeck · 24/09/2015 14:06

I was sharing my story with the op. I didn't ask any questions and I didn't say anything offensive. You're obviously just looking for an argument.

squoosh · 24/09/2015 14:09

Ok dear.

Feckingfeckfeck · 24/09/2015 14:31

Don't "dear" me. Really no need.

squoosh · 24/09/2015 14:32

Chum?

JacquesHammer · 24/09/2015 14:37

Golly - if I fancied a guy enough to end up in bed with him and THEN found out he had tattoos it would be like getting an extra present at Christmas Grin

My current boyfriend partner bloke - I knew about his tattoo before we went there. It was a big motivation, its hot
