To not be happy at seeing a frog in the toilet.

How on earth could it have got there. I thought I was seeing things, a smallish frog clinging to the insides of the toilet. It's a downstairs toilet, can they come up through the pipes? I really don't like frogs, DH had to rescue it and put it in ndn's garden because they have a pond....but what the heck was it doing in my toilet?

it will have swam up the pipes, happens occasionally when they fall down a rain water drain.

shoopshoopsong · 20/09/2015 15:40

Do you have a cat/small children?

The thread title was (unintentionally?) hilarious. I mean how dare it show its face.

riverwalk · 20/09/2015 16:24

I have a fear of frogs, it's just something you don't expect to see in your toilet isn't it. Frog in the bog haha.

Well, it's better than a toad in the hole! Grin

derxa · 20/09/2015 16:57

A frog once hopped into our sitting room and the hopping sound on the floorboards was very eerie. My DS and I managed to get it out by scooping it up with a fish slice. I couldn't bear to touch it.

yeOldeTrout · 20/09/2015 17:00

Poor Fwaggee.

throckenholt · 20/09/2015 18:12

I was going to say better than a snake - but Ego got there first.

We used to have a cat that brought in frogs and let them go - hopping around the hall. Never put them in the toilet though.

vestandknickers · 20/09/2015 18:17

My cat brings frogs in. They have never asked to use the facilities. Mostly they just scuttle under the fridge.

anotherbloomingusername · 20/09/2015 18:28

Love frogs. That would make me so happy!

cashewnutty · 20/09/2015 18:35

I love frogs too. I would smile if i saw one in my toilet. Then i would take a pic then set it free, by picking it up, in my bare hands. They feel lovely.

Orangeanddemons · 20/09/2015 18:41

I once found a melted frog in my washing machine..I took the washing out, and this green flat squashed thing with eyes came out with it.

I was a it traumatised Grin not as much as the frog obviously....

Fluffyears · 20/09/2015 19:00

The snake thing petrifies me I am so phobic even a photo makes me feel sick and shaky!

vestandknickers · 20/09/2015 19:02

orangeanddemons do frogs go like crisp packets when you heat them up? Like a perfect mini version?

Fluffyears · 20/09/2015 19:04

Although at that moment any constipation would be a distant memory!

SanityClause · 20/09/2015 19:04

We always used to get bright green tree frogs on the loo, when I lived in Katherine, in Australia.

I used to love seeing them.

MouldyPeach · 20/09/2015 19:06

...how did it get into the toilet?? Confused

PunkrockerGirl · 20/09/2015 19:06

Me too Fluffy. I can't look at, or touch a picture of a snake. Just writing this post is making my heart rate go bonkers and feel sick.

My lovely old cat used to bring in dead, half-eaten frogs Sad

Orangeanddemons · 20/09/2015 20:20

Like a squashed hard crisp packet. But much smaller and thicker!

derxa · 20/09/2015 20:35

Oh poor froggie!!!

Bulbasaur · 20/09/2015 20:36

Grin Good thing you caught it before you sat down!

Could you imagine? This thread would be a much different discussion if you hadn't. ShockGrin

MrsTedCrilly · 20/09/2015 20:40

Bulbasaur Grin

Wow, I didn't know this stuff really happened! Better not tell DH with his fear of all things frog and toad..

PHANTOMnamechanger · 20/09/2015 20:40

a frog might be a bit of a shock, but I wouldn't mind.

Now, my friend heard a splashing noise in her loo, thought one of the DC had left a tap running, went in and was confronted by a mahoosive RAT that had come up the pipes.

So she calmly not did what we would all do, baricaded the door with a chair and ran screaming to the ndn for help!
