Unless you use a steam mop, then you may vacuum then mop. Other than that no excuses. Vacuuming then mopping is the wrong way round.

We have eight floors which require vacuuming and then mopping......in that order. Any other way is just madness. I don't get your logic at all.

I clean rental properties and confirm that after near to 500 floors being mopped, the most effective way is to vacuum. Then mop. Then vacuum again.
The mopping tends to uncover all sorts of bits no matter how thoroughly you think you have vacuumed.

Dust, then vacuum, then mop, of course.

My floor isn't filthy enough to warrant a double vacuum so I mop then Vac donajimena but my teens were spent doing similar and was always told to vac after mopping.

Seriously, I've just realised I might've been sweeping the hard floors unnecessarily for years. Wtf didn't it occur to me I could vacuum them? I've got a swanky Miele with a hard floor setting so no excuses.
