To think that calling a baby naughty is wrong?

I know it's NOMYB really but it's been bothering me.
So, baby in question is around 7 months old therefore limited to what it can do, eg can roll over but not crawl, can't talk etc. Parent says that they stopped taking baby to X because he's too naughty!
It wasn't like the parent was joking about it, they meant it by the tone used. I just can't imagine why someone would think that way, it made me Sad

Yep, both my boys were 'lazy' apparently, the girl was just naughty Hmm

It's weird, I've lots of experience of different HCPs and they all said that DS was lazy (developmental delay). Even the physio!

Jeez Gatehouse, just when I thought I'd heard it all!

'Lazy', 'naughty', 'typical boy / girl' are still very much in evidence among the parents and professionals I work with. I always challenge it but it feels like swimming uphill in porridge sometimes

Dear lord Team, I've just seen your comment about the HCPs, including the physio! I'm a HCP and a manager and if this was a member of my team, we would be having a serious conversation. Disgraceful

Lotta I worked as a EYT and returned to work after a few years break (well nearly 10 Grin) I was shocked to discover that child development doesn't seem to be taught in the COEs anymore. If it isn't taught to HCPs who work with children then god help the poor dcs.
