Well I can't say I think she's an attractive woman anymore than I think Cameron / Corbyn / Merkel are hot either. Does she have a stylist? More than likely, just like Cameron / Corbyn / Merkel probably receive image advice too. I would too if my job was to be in the national press. It's a shame that her apperance seems to garner more attention than her actions. I can't remember a male politician having the same issue.

Does she get an easy ride in the Scottish press? No idea, I live in the South East of England so I don't come across the Scottish press that often.

Is the SNP a cult? Well millions voted for them, so by definition they are not a cult.

Do I like the SNP? No. I think they will be popular for a short period of time and then the electorate will realise that they are just like every other self serving political party.

Maybe she is just trying to score popularity points by following public opinion. But given that Cameron announced on Wednesday that the UK won't take any more migrants and has rapidly changed his mind, she has at least looked like she is leading rather than following.

In PR stakes she is running rings around Cameron, who has looked weak and completely un-statesman as possible.

I think in this entire thread there have been 1 or 2 negative comments about her appearance and a couple asking if she has a stylist now. The rest of the thread hasn't been about that - which is correct. However, although it shouldn't matter what politicians look like, in modern politics it does, everyone is judged on how they look and they are not any different.

Elections are more of a popularity contest now and image is as much a part of that as what they say.

Some people just aren't electable based on how they look. Milliband is a prime example.

Most people on the thread have kept to arguing about personality and politics/views.

I'm absolutely shocked at reading some of these! Nicola is one of the true great people living. She is trying to make the country a better place. The jealously of some English people who want to keep on stealing our oil is so obvious.

Nicola Sturgeon is not trying to do anything other than further her own political ends. As for your comment about English people (racist in itself) you would do well to remember that only a year ago 55% of Scots rejected the SNPs fantasy economics in favour of staying part of the UK.
