I can't stand her anti English stance, but at least one political leader is doing something for the refugees...

So, after saying that Scots are better and more compassionate, she has agreed to take 10% of what DC has said, strangely exactly proportionate to the population of the UK - if she was that fucking compassionate or even if she wanted to show she was, she would have said, "I see your 10% of 10,000 and raise you X?"

Does she? No of course not.

Kimbomc · 04/09/2015 19:15

Cameron did his afterwards, after Nicola showed him up to be uncompassionate.

More Westminster manipulation.

To say thank fuck for Nicola Sturgeon
QueenLaBeefah · 04/09/2015 19:16

Surprised she finds the time with all the selfies with stag parties and secret meetings with Rupert Murdoch.

Kimbomc · 04/09/2015 19:16

Cameroon is despicable.

To say thank fuck for Nicola Sturgeon
Bearbehind · 04/09/2015 19:17

Her 'fair and proportionate' comment stinks.

It's all very well offering propionate refuge when you represent a tiny country.

QueenLaBeefah · 04/09/2015 19:18

Just because Cameron is an arse doesn't mean that sturgeon isn't one too.

Stripeysocksarecool · 04/09/2015 19:19

Kim, are you saying that only ethnic Scots should have voted in the referendum?

What anti-Scottish BBC agenda? There is no proof whatsoever of anything of the sort. Just another excuse trotted out by the SNP, alongside others such as "old people lost us the referendum" and "too many people were scared".

I'd have more respect for NS and salmond if they were honest and admitted that they just didn't manage to pull the wool over enough people's eyes.

Stripeysocksarecool · 04/09/2015 19:21

Kim, are you the Rev. in disguise?

WankerDeAsalWipe · 04/09/2015 19:21

And we all went trip trap trip trap over Kim's bridge.....

QueenLaBeefah · 04/09/2015 19:22

TBF - it is probably Kim's bedtime.

Stripeysocksarecool · 04/09/2015 19:23

Hmm maybe Wanker. Sadly all too believable as it is fairly standard SNP stuff that she / he is posting.

WankerDeAsalWipe · 04/09/2015 19:25

I'm torn stripey but i'm hoping it's a wind up because if it is genuine that's a lot more worrying.

Andrewofgg · 04/09/2015 19:26

Immigration/admission of refugees and the cost of looking after them if they are admitted are both UK issues - not devolved. (I remember Salmond saying that even an "independent" Scotland would never have border controls with England which means immigration would have to remain a supra-national question).

So on this subject she can say what she likes without having any responsibility to deliver. Which is what as a politician she like. Words are cheap: refugee camps are expensive.

Which does not mean that what she is saying would not be right coming from a Westminster Minister of MP: that's another question. But she can no more commit Scotland in this respect than the leader of a council anywhere in the UK can.

skinoncustard · 04/09/2015 19:27

Do you really think that 'Hundreds of thousands ' agree that we should take in unlimited amounts of people, well this one doesn't!
As previous posters have said, Where is the money, housing, doctors, schools, jobs, etc etc

QueenLaBeefah · 04/09/2015 19:31

I'm still waiting for all the lovely free childcare we were promised during the referendum. Her promises are worth shit all.

Ubik1 · 04/09/2015 19:32

Wow

I can't stand the woman and her rubbery lips with faded lipstick and spit. She makes me want to puke.

Funny how a picture of a dead child in another country results in politically expedient sound bites from her but 2 adults left to die in a car beside a motorway - meh, she's not so bothered. Shock

She is an utterly odious, deceitful woman who will capitalise on anything whatsoever, no matter how low she stoops, to spread her poison
Shock

Bandwagon jumping disruptive gobshite

And crying --crocodile- tears in parliament.I found it very phoney.

All for agreeing to take Syrian refugees.
I agree that scotland should take more than 1000 though.

Rainuntilseptember15 · 04/09/2015 19:40

Queen, weren't referendum promises kind of dependent on, well, winning the referendum? So why be surprised something hasn't happened?
On a purely moral level, are posters here actually of the mindset that DC gives more of a shit about the people than NS? Because then I will know to dismiss you as eejits.

Stripeysocksarecool · 04/09/2015 19:40

It does all seem quite vitriolic when you put it like that Ubik! If you're in Scotland, you will understand. If not, the best I can say is that despite the fact there are 56 SNP MPs, at least half the population can't stand Nicola sturgeon and everything she stands for.

I don't think DC or Sturgeon really give a crap about the refugees. All a political game for them both.

unlucky83 · 04/09/2015 19:52

Another one living in Scotland who absolutely detests NS and the SNP
Completely and utterly typical jumping on band wagon - and if anything a thousand grateful refugees (if allowed to vote and I am guessing they would be) is another 1000 votes for independence...
As others have said the SNP have made such a mess of everything they are responsible for (Education, Police Soctland, the NHS).
They talk a good talk, make 'popular' policies that make great headlines but actually as someone else said it is all smoke and mirrors
My person bugbear is 600 hrs free childcare - wow - fantastic - that's a great headline, the SNP are really helping parents.
It is actually 15.78 hrs per term time week - 3.28 hrs more than the 12.5hrs offered before. Works out at 3.15 hrs a day - that's 3hrs 9.46 min .. It is also a massive 46.8 mins per week more than has been offered in England for years and years...
Wonder why they decided to make it 600hrs? Even though in practice that number makes no sense ...rushed through before the indi vote even the councils didn't have time to implement it properly and has caused places like school nurseries all kinds of problems

I think they are the vilest, fakest, nastiest political party we have in the UK ...they are telling the poorest they will make their life better - but actually they could have done more but that isn't on their agenda - if people were too content they would never vote for independence...
I hate them ...

QueenLaBeefah · 04/09/2015 19:56

Let's not forget the contemptible way they have recently treated the BBC. The Scottish BBC are now so scared of the SNP that Sarah Smith practically gave Sturgeon a shoulder rub when she interviewed her the other night.

KidLorneRoll · 04/09/2015 20:02

"It does all seem quite vitriolic when you put it like that Ubik!"

Yes it does. Unnecessarily so.

"If you're in Scotland, you will understand. "

Not necessarily. Let's not make the mistake of thinking you speak for more than exactly 1 person, eh?

"If not, the best I can say is that despite the fact there are 56 SNP MPs, at least half the population can't stand Nicola sturgeon and everything she stands for."

Strange that they seem so popular when it comes to elections and opinion polls, isn't it? I'd love to know where you are getting your figures from. What happened to, y'know, respecting other viewpoints and all that?

QueenLaBeefah · 04/09/2015 20:05

I truly hope that the SNP do win the next Holyrood election because they might just start having to own their mistakes instead of blaming the English/Tories/Westminster (delete as appropriate) for everything.

They talk a good talk but fail to deliver on, well, pretty much everything.
