To think this was the most embarrassing conversation ever and I can never show my face at school again.

I was in Asda when my phone rang, the conversation went as follows.

Head teacher "Hello, is that Mrs Pheobe"

Me "yes"

HT "I have something to discuss. In all my years in teaching I have never had to have this conversation with a parent. I really don't know where to start"

Me Okaaay, what is the problem?

HT "I really don't know what to say"

Me "perhaps you should just say it"

HT "Well, I had a child come to my office today with an object that had been put in his bag by your ds".

Me "what was it"

HT "a very large sex toy"

Blush Blush Blush

I asked if ds had said where he got it from all the while praying mine was still in my bedside drawer
HT said that DS had said he got it from his younger DBro but in his opinion ds must have ordered it from the internet. I disagreed, ds is far too tight to spend his own money on such a thing plus I would have seen the parcel.

Came home checked bedside table DSs internet history, nothing suspicious. Checked his FB messages and found a conversation with a school friend saying he had a dildo that his little brother had found.

DS came home, we had the conversation Grin he was mortified and agreed he had been a prat.

He insisted he had taken it off his 10 year db after finding him playing with it in the garden Shock. I questioned younger ds about wether he had found anything unusual that elder ds had taken off him. Younger ds claimed to know nothing. Dragged elder ds back in and said your brother doesn't know what your talking about.

Elder ds says "you know, remember the blue snake". Oh yes the blue snake says younger ds," I didn't find it, Dsis did at the park and she gave it to me".

Drag 8 year old DD in and explain that she shouldn't pick up things when she doesn't know what they are. "But I did know mummy it was a super soft squidgy snake thing".

FFS, I need to bleach all of my dc and send the younger two to a differant school don't I.

I can never show my face in that school again.

Have shown eves link to ds. He confirms it wasn't a dog toy. Sad

Strange blue squishy snake thing found in a wrapper in a park - my money's on a dog toy, for sure.

I did a quiz a while back on "sex toy or dog toy" and just found it again - here be warned the page has some explicit pictures on it! I remember doing spectacularly badly at telling the difference.

Snowfilledsky · 02/09/2015 18:52

YY 'squidgy' sex toys are not much use surely? Confused

Eminybob · 02/09/2015 18:52

I think you need to check the Staffroom board to see if HT has started a thread in there about you Blush

Battleshiphips2 · 02/09/2015 18:54

That's hilarious. Show your son the dog toy and ask if it was that. If it is I'd love to be a fly on the wall when you inform the HT.

Pheobe1 · 02/09/2015 18:55

Oh dear god NoMoreRenting I hadn't even thought of that.

It was found about 4 weeks ago, all dc still alive and seemingly well so no harm done I hope.

Not funny just grim. A sex toy in the park? That's the sun news material

Snowfilledsky · 02/09/2015 18:55

Black that's a very informative link. Looks likely that even if it's not the one in Eve's link it's most likely another dog toy.

Battleshiphips2 · 02/09/2015 18:56

Ooopps x post. Bathe your children in dettol and hold your head high at the next parent evening.

Raiyia · 02/09/2015 18:58

Agree with Snowfilled (and love description of link as *"very informative" Grin)

I will go into Pets at Home and check out the possibilities Raiyia.

Snowfilledsky · 02/09/2015 19:00

I got 7/15 Euphemia, I am a 'sexpert in the making' apparently. Confused

newoldmum · 02/09/2015 19:00

13/15 on that quiz. Blush

blacknosugar thank you for that quiz Grin

YouTheCat · 02/09/2015 19:04

Is that Mars project still recruiting, OP? Grin

Want2bSupermum · 02/09/2015 19:05

The only way for you to get out of this is to say that you have spoken to your DS and you managed to get from him that it was found in the park by your DD. Tell the HT your DD was playing there with friends unsupervised and you are concerned there was possible dodgy activity going on so you want to see said 'toy'. I would fully expect it to be a dog toy. If it is a sex toy you need to inform the police as there could be a pedophile hanging out in the playground.

Other than that I would go into school with brass balls and a very stiff upper lip. Far cheaper to do that than move to Siberia. Grin

Snowfilledsky · 02/09/2015 19:07

'Dodgy activity'? That should be 'doggy activity'.

YY to seeing whatever it is though.

FithColumnist · 02/09/2015 19:08

Leave the country. Change your name. Dye your hair a different colour. Swear your DC to secrecy on pain of mutilation (bleach them first, obv)

Pheobe1 · 02/09/2015 19:11

The quiz wont load for me. Possibly because a 100 plus MNs are trying to load it at the same time.

OP posts:
JuJuMun69 · 02/09/2015 19:14

Hahahaha. The funniest thing is they are going to think you're lying due to it being found in the park. If it had been taken out of your goodie drawer then that would have been more believable.

Hoppinggreen · 02/09/2015 19:17

Your excuse has to be true because let's face it, and f you were going to make up some story it would be far more convincing!!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 02/09/2015 19:18

9/15. Not sure if my dog or my sex life needs more toys!

hibbleddible · 02/09/2015 19:24

Where is this metro quiz?
