To think this was the most embarrassing conversation ever and I can never show my face at school again.

I was in Asda when my phone rang, the conversation went as follows.

Head teacher "Hello, is that Mrs Pheobe"

Me "yes"

HT "I have something to discuss. In all my years in teaching I have never had to have this conversation with a parent. I really don't know where to start"

Me Okaaay, what is the problem?

HT "I really don't know what to say"

Me "perhaps you should just say it"

HT "Well, I had a child come to my office today with an object that had been put in his bag by your ds".

Me "what was it"

HT "a very large sex toy"

Blush Blush Blush

I asked if ds had said where he got it from all the while praying mine was still in my bedside drawer
HT said that DS had said he got it from his younger DBro but in his opinion ds must have ordered it from the internet. I disagreed, ds is far too tight to spend his own money on such a thing plus I would have seen the parcel.

Came home checked bedside table DSs internet history, nothing suspicious. Checked his FB messages and found a conversation with a school friend saying he had a dildo that his little brother had found.

DS came home, we had the conversation Grin he was mortified and agreed he had been a prat.

He insisted he had taken it off his 10 year db after finding him playing with it in the garden Shock. I questioned younger ds about wether he had found anything unusual that elder ds had taken off him. Younger ds claimed to know nothing. Dragged elder ds back in and said your brother doesn't know what your talking about.

Elder ds says "you know, remember the blue snake". Oh yes the blue snake says younger ds," I didn't find it, Dsis did at the park and she gave it to me".

Drag 8 year old DD in and explain that she shouldn't pick up things when she doesn't know what they are. "But I did know mummy it was a super soft squidgy snake thing".

FFS, I need to bleach all of my dc and send the younger two to a differant school don't I.

I can never show my face in that school again.

Thank you for cheering me up how many days in school until the summer holidays

mummymeister · 02/09/2015 18:20

This happened to a poor mum at my school too. Her DS brought in her vibrator and some condoms to show the other kids (no idea why he thought it would be a good idea) and the HT had to call her and she had to come in and collect the items. I would have died. On the spot.
Wine for you OP

SilverBirchWithout · 02/09/2015 18:28

Most important point to find out is whether it already had batteries in, then you'll know whether bleach is absolutely necessary.

Whatever you do don't ever limp into school or wince if you sit down at a school event. Alternatively brazen it out always looking ultra smug, relaxed and "self-satisfied"

hibbleddible · 02/09/2015 18:29

Thank you for brightening my day!!

exLtEveDallas · 02/09/2015 18:30

Are you sure it's not one of these? www.amazon.co.uk/Kong-Safe-Stix-Small-Colours/dp/B006BU7FPG

They look remarkably like double ended sex toys

CheddarGorgeous · 02/09/2015 18:33

So where is it now? Really you should bring it down to the local police station and hand it in as lost property.

Or maybe put it on your local Facebook page?

Or could you sell your story to the gutter press? "Children traumatised by feral smurf dildos in local park"

Cloppysow · 02/09/2015 18:36

I really think people believe 8 years shouldn't be unsupervised at the park because of kid snatchers or terrible accidents on astro turf helpme but by all means, add finding dildos to the list.

Snowfilledsky · 02/09/2015 18:37

That sounds a much more probable explanation Eve.

Pheobe1 · 02/09/2015 18:37

Thankfully the HT didn't try and return it to me. Maybe it will pop up in lost property at the end of term.

Chedder I am practising my Daily Fail sad face already.

Bearsinmotion · 02/09/2015 18:39

Is it weird that I really want it to be that dog toy? Would love the HT to have to admit he mistakenly thought it was a dildo Grin

Snowfilledsky · 02/09/2015 18:40

So you haven't actually seen it Phoebe?

AliceInUnderpants · 02/09/2015 18:42

OMG ExLt I bet it was one of those! And not a sex toy at all. OP now you can turn the joke onto your HT Wink

Raiyia · 02/09/2015 18:42

I agree Eve's suggestion seems really likely and am totally with Bearsinmotion if HT has to admit it's a dog toy will be even more hilarious.

Snowfilledsky · 02/09/2015 18:44

Dog toy found in park and taken into school definitely sounds about right.

lighteningirl · 02/09/2015 18:46

Funniest post in ages sadly I think it may turn out to be a dog toy, blue is quite unusual for a sex toy and lots of my dogs toys cause drunken hilarity at BBQs top show and tell story as well

MaidOfStars · 02/09/2015 18:48

This thread is a blatant attempt to set up a cover story....

Pheobe1 · 02/09/2015 18:49

The dog toy is possible I haven't actually seen it.

DS thought it was a sex toy though. I asked him why he hadn't simply given it to me when he took it off his brother. He said he was embarrassed and just hid it in the garden shed before having the bright idea to plant it on a school friend.

Mind you HT is a twat, I have had run ins with him regarding school bullying policy. I would love it if it turned out to be a dog toy.

OP posts:
badg3r · 02/09/2015 18:50

God I really REALLY hope for your sake that it is a dog toy OP! I am going to save this to read when I feel sad Grin

NoMoreRenting · 02/09/2015 18:50

Sorry to sound all serious on a very funny thread but op, you said your DD said she took the wrapper off. She does mean that, doesn't she? It couldn't have been a condom she removed, could it?

lighteningirl · 02/09/2015 18:50

And you Daily Mail sad face will be even better they love a school behaving badly

I would have wanted to see it, it it was something my child was being accused of bringing into school. At least you could then say 'that's a dog toy'.

Raiyia · 02/09/2015 18:51

Show DS Eve's link and he can tell you if that's what it looked like?(crossing fingers for dog toy and million-fold embarrassment for HT)
