Her arms just look way too thin, the article is not the greatest photos but a quick google makes her look even thinner.

And if she so much puts on a few pounds it'll be all over the media. She really cannot win. Women talking about other women's weight always makes me uncomfortable, we've just about cottoned on to the fact that we shouldn't call other women fat but apparently we can diss them for being too thin.

SummerWine · 18/08/2015 21:03

She does not look fabulous she looks very unhealthy.

If she was seriously underweight she wouldn't have the muscle on her arms that you can see clearly in the pics.

WorraLiberty · 18/08/2015 21:08

This is what makes me laugh about MN

There are so many women ripping other women apart for the way they look

Yet when the subject of girls and body image comes up, apparently it's the media who should be ashamed.

Yeah right...

just posted this by accident on the Madonna thread Blush

Is it true that for a man to have a six pack they need to have zero body fat? (not married to a 6-pack so I don't know!) I read that somewhere - also that Brad Pitt had to lose loads of weight to look the way that he did for fight club.

jeronimoh · 18/08/2015 21:12

...So if she was male her physique would be admired.

LikeIcan · 18/08/2015 21:12

I think she looks lovely - not too thin at all.

jasmine1979 · 18/08/2015 21:12

I don't think people are "body shaming" but more commenting on the extreme change in her appearance over a very short period of time as it looks worrying?
I can't think of a single person either in real like or celebland that hasn't altered in appearance that much and then later on admited that they either had an eating disorder or were very ill at the time.
I am not suggesting that she should tell the media that is the case if she is ill etc by the way.
A small cynical part of me also says publicity for the upcoming X-Factor series? I wouldn't put it past Cowell.

Ilovecrapcrafts · 18/08/2015 21:13

She wasn't very slight when she started out. I think it's clear she, like most celebrities deliberately stays very thin. When she loses further weight it's very obvious.
I lost a lot of weight from stress once and 5lbs off a skinny person really changes the way they look. I never lost boob fat either.

But, despite all that I think you're niave if you think she just happens to be that thin naturally Wink

Ah okay! As I said I'm not married to a 6-pack, and I haven't had a figure like Cheryl's since I was 17!

Awholelottanosy · 18/08/2015 21:16

No, on the program I watched at the weekend, they showed her how she was before and she looked, healthy, glowing and beautiful. Gaunt is not a good look on anyone. She was fine before, I don't know why she's lost so much weight but it was unnecessary and does her no favours. She was literally perfect before.

SummerWine · 18/08/2015 21:32

Thats not entirely true of a six pack.

InTheBox · 18/08/2015 21:35

I think she looks fine. In fact stunning is the word.

ilovesooty · 18/08/2015 21:37

I can't believe anyone has really queried why bereavement might affect weight.

Spilose · 18/08/2015 21:41

I was shocked seeing this on her Instagram tbh. She is thin. And I hate threads like these but she's starting to look unwell

To think Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is way to thin.
Koalafications · 18/08/2015 21:51

Her body, her choice.

Really isn't our business if she's too thin, is it?

DoJo · 18/08/2015 22:27

I don't know why she's lost so much weight but it was unnecessary and does her no favours.

If you don't know why she lost weight, then how can you possibly say it was unnecessary?

TheHormonalHooker · 18/08/2015 22:35

Great, more skinny shaming!

It fucks me right off that posters think it's ok to slate women for being "too thin" but if anyone dares mention someone is overweight on here, tne Internet very near explodes!

BuggersMuddle · 18/08/2015 22:44

I've seen pictures in the past where she looked unhealthy / fairly scrawny, but this is not one of them.

I'd say she's at the low end of her healthy weight, but she looks perfectly healthy and there's some muscle definition in the arms that would suggest she's not starving herself.

BTW, I have a BMI of 27 right now, so am slightly overweight and have no axe to grind as regards skinny-shaming.

Bakeoffcake · 18/08/2015 22:51

It may well be the bereavement of her FIL. I lost over a stone in a few weeks when we had a sudden bereavement, to under 8st, I just couldn't eat more than a few mouthfuls at a time.

But people constantly telling me I was too thin made things worse, so whilst I don't particularly like Cherly, I feel very sorry for her.

I don't know who she is, but she looks fine to me. I was a similar shape and size when I was younger and it most certainly wasn't because I was starving myself. I was just young and active and skinny.
