AIBU? DP and Maintenance payments

We have this morning been threatened with legal action from DPs ex. His divorce (finalised in 2006) stated maintenance payments would finish at the end of secondary education or age 18.

Ex-wife is now gunning for another four years of maintenance, AIBU to think the original divorce agreement/settlement should stand?

Has anyone else heard of the courts ordering maintenance payments to continue through university?

Thanks in advance

If you pay through the CSA it carries on till they reach 20 (if in full time education). Dh has paid every month without a murmur. Even when he was made redundant and entitled to pay less he didn't. he pays nearly £500 a month and it's crippling us. As an aside my brother gives zilch to his two kids (well I tell a lie, there was that £20 a month between them at one point direct from his benefits).
Anyway it's his sons 20th in December and it can't come quick enough. Dh is going to give him £150 a month which is generous given that his ds has no time for him at all and let slip that his mum engineered ways for him to stay in some form of education so the payments continue as long as possible. Dh loves his son but has made peace with the fact that he's just seen as a walking wallet to them. Roll on December.
