Regular but NC'd for this...HELLLLP

I've been blonde before, I'm naturally ginger, wanted to dye it back to blonde. Used Jerome Russell B Blonder maxximum lift kit like I always do - it was AGONY on my scalp and I don't know why. Left it to develop for about an hour, then washed it out. THIS HAPPENED.

HELP. Someone please tell me how to fix this, bearing in mind I only have a Tesco extra near me that's open at all. How do I fix this?! It's a disaster!

Sounds like you have scalp dermatitis from the bleach - if it keeps weeping you must see your GP and never bleach again.

I suggest you do nothing to your hair except deep conditions and no heat appliances for as long as you can bare. 2/3 weeks min.

I second the poster up-thread who suggested Wella white lady, t18 - lightest ash blonde as a toner. I actually mix this half and half with the t11, which is a less ashy tone, and get a cool but lovely soft beige blond. You have to order it from the states (Amazon), but it arrives quickly. They're not expensive.

Use it with a 20% volume developer, (which you have to buy separately, but not nec. from Wella, USA) no higher than 20, which will be gentler than most high st boxed hair bleach. 2 parts developer to 1 part toner.

I wasted a lot of time mucking about with high st products (inc. 2 or 3 expensive purpley shampoos and boxed bleaches) trying to get the orangy tone out of my new bleached hair a few months ago. Over and over i saw the Wella toners recommended but couldn't be arsed to find them on the internet and wait for them to arrive.

When i finally bought them and used them my hair looked amazing, it only needing leaving on for 10 mins, no damange and NO MORE BRASSY TONES. Yay!

One of my DDs accidentally bleached her hair a similar colour so died it a mid to dark brown - it worked fine.

Eponas, I got the t18 next day delivery on prime from UK amazon - I'm guessing they have it stocked in the uk now. Just FYI!

On a lighter note, I bleached my friends hair the night we were going to a gig. It went canary yellow so she had to wear a hat, she still talks about when I turned her into "Tweetie Pie"

I've now put a lovely Feria Lightest Ash Blonde on my hair - left it on for half an hour like it said and it's taken most of the brassy redness and orange away, and sent it a much nicer shade. It needs another layer of it, but generally I'm much happier with this colour as a more permanent solution.

Incidentally, my hair feels AMAZING. My mother put me onto olive oil and mayonnaise. You mix it, slather it in your hair then put on a shower cap. Leave it for like an hour and then wash it off with a really good shampoo. My hair feels in better condition than it was before the bleach!!

Scalp has stopped weeping, it's not itchy it's just a little scabby in places but not noticable. So everything is all good now :) I'm thinking of doing the ends in a violet colour, I have a temporary dye in a brand I trust so I'll do that in a few weeks.
