Would you be offended if a 3 yr old called you this? Wibu to tell said 3yr old off?

Why would you think saying bobble is on the same level as saying cunt?.... Cunt is a word for something private. A bobble is something you put in your hair?

It'd be like comparing You're a numpty to you're an arsehole!

thatsn0tmyname · 29/07/2015 22:19

Has 'silly bobble' evolved from 'silly bugger'? I've slipped up (many times) in front of my son and managed to change bugger into bother. Just wondering.

happygirl87 · 29/07/2015 22:24

MummaV it's a fairly pivotal point in the Disney version of A i W - maybe she saw a bit of it at a friends house or something? It MUST have come from there!

blackrabbitwhiterabbit · 28/05/2020 09:36

It's really disrespectful to call an adult a silly anything.

TimeWastingButFun · 28/05/2020 10:09

Haha! No, I'd be mock-shocked and make them laugh, hopefully - it's very cute!

peperethecat · 28/05/2020 10:10

Silly bobble!

I think that's quite cute tbh.

He is learning to express his emotions using words he knows. Better he calls other people a "silly bobble" than you get complaints from other parents because he's called their child a twat or a cunt. (YWBVVVU to teach him these words, by the way.)

Want2beme · 28/05/2020 10:43

Has he watched an episode of Friday Night Dinner, by any chance? Jackie, the mum, (Tamsin Greig), calls her boys "Oh bobble".

VirginWestCoast · 28/05/2020 10:53

When my daughter was three, she came up to me, very pointedly put a piece of Lego on the floor in front of her and then pretended to step on it. She then hopped around saying "Bugger bugger shit shit bugger" until I stopped laughing and told her she couldn't say those words.
This was the child who got hellos and goodbyes mixed up until she started school (I don't know why either) but this she said perfectly. Blush
Silly bobble is fine.

Zombie thread!

It's really disrespectful to call an adult a silly anything.

Oh get a grip.

MouthBreathingRage · 28/05/2020 10:59

@blackrabbitwhiterabbit, you do realise you've resuscitated a thread you actually posted on 5 years ago?

thefuriousfuggler · 28/05/2020 11:16

@blackrabbitwhiterabbit

It's really disrespectful to call an adult a silly anything.
As it was 5 years ago I think they may have grown out of it by now or learnt some better insults
chocolatemademefat · 28/05/2020 11:44

My DS1 was four when he stamped his foot at me and said ‘fucks sake’! Too much time in the car with DH I think!
