Ok so people are going on about the lion. And as terrible as it is.

HOW MANY OF YOU EAT MEAT.

seriously contradiction or what.

OP posts:
FarFromAnyRoad · 29/07/2015 20:26

It's 'grammar' actually.

Salmotrutta · 29/07/2015 20:27

Do you not have much time then OP?

Can you answer me - do you condemn tribal people who eat meat and hunt it?

Just asking.

mmollytoots · 29/07/2015 20:28

Autocorrect is a bitch

OP posts:
ilovesooty · 29/07/2015 20:30

I have a life to live

As we all do.

mmollytoots · 29/07/2015 20:31

ilovesooty was I referring to you....No

OP posts:
Salmotrutta · 29/07/2015 20:33

So do you think tribal people who live in the savannahs and plains don't need meat to sustain them then OP?

Sorry to keep asking.

ilovesooty · 29/07/2015 20:33

So?

Salmotrutta · 29/07/2015 20:33

Sorry - savannahs and plains of Africa etc.

Salmotrutta · 29/07/2015 20:34

Or the Arctic tundra which has very little vegetation?

mmollytoots · 29/07/2015 20:34

So do you come from a tribe in the savannah then.

Sounds interesting what's it like.

OP posts:
PHANTOMnamechanger · 29/07/2015 20:36

don't be ridiculous about going out and beheading a field full of cows, of course that would cause just as much shock and outrage, as it would be plain that it was done for the hell of it, rather than for food. Round my way gangs of yobs torture and kill frogs, and fire catapults at beautiful baby swans. It causes absolute public outrage and disgust. There would not be such an outcry if a person struggling to feed their kids nicked a chicken or 2 from a farm and humanely wrung their necks, of that I am sure.

Salmotrutta · 29/07/2015 20:38

Course I don't silly!

Bless.

But you said humans don't need to eat meat to sustain them.

Well, I think quite a lot of people round the world do actually rely on the meat that they can hunt.

mmollytoots · 29/07/2015 20:38

Ok the it is about the fact the animal is endangered.

Certain types of tuna and salmon are endangered but yet are still wildly harvested so since everyone wants to protect endangered animals we should talk about this also then.

OP posts:
Salmotrutta · 29/07/2015 20:40

What with there not being much in the way of suitable vegetable options when you live on the African plains/Arctic tundra/Australian outback.

Sparklingbrook · 29/07/2015 20:41

Are we now comparing tuna and salmon to lions? I need a summary so far.

Salmotrutta · 29/07/2015 20:41

Ah.

So it's the endangered aspect you are on about then?

Salmotrutta · 29/07/2015 20:42

Tis all very confusing Sparkling Sad

Sparklingbrook · 29/07/2015 20:44

It really is Salmo. I don't hunt lions or salmon or tuna. I had no idea fish were harvested wildly either. Sad

cardibach · 29/07/2015 20:45

While the fact that lions are endangered makes it worse, people have repeatedly pointed out that it's the killing for fun which is the really morally abhorrent part if this episode.

PHANTOMnamechanger · 29/07/2015 20:45

summary so far: OP is being deliberately goady and/or obtuse, as well as being a holier-than-thou veggie.

HTH Wink

MrsBananaHammock · 29/07/2015 20:45

Seriously molly just drop it - people have jumped on you about grammar etc purely because you have started a goady, weak, argumentative thread and then ironically called people 'uneducated' in a post that makes no sense.

You still haven't validated what exactly your point is in comparing a) a hunter who illegally and cruelly makes an endangered animal suffer for 2 days just to have it's head above his fireplace and b) someone who eats legally and humanely killed animals bred for food purposes.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 29/07/2015 20:55

SB

I'm thinking "all animals are equal but some animals are more equal"

possibly

not sure

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 29/07/2015 20:59

whisk

I can't believe all your previous post are so "judge". tsk tskWink Grin

and yes molly autocorrelation is a bitch

MrsBananaHammock · 29/07/2015 21:00

phanto well summarised - holy enough to be veggie but not vegan though, so I guess his/her warrior status only goes so far Grin

Whiskwarrior · 29/07/2015 21:03

Well, I'm known for being 'judge'. So much so that they asked me to be on the panel on X-Factor. Had to turn it down though. I'm needed here to be 'judge' and spread negativity.

Tough gig but someone has to do it Grin
