Last week I went to bed with hot water bottles.

This week I am going to bed with hot water bottles AND I've put the heating on.

Where in the name of arse has the summer gone?

Mine's on. It's toasty.

MissCalamity · 28/07/2015 22:34

Me too, also needed to dry some washing as it's piling up.

So much for a glorious summer Hmm

DirtyWeeRascal · 28/07/2015 22:36

On here too! Feels like October Hmm

hibbleddible · 28/07/2015 22:37

I'm guessing your up north?

Bythedowns2 · 28/07/2015 22:38

Its not that warm down south, I am I south Coast and wrapped in a blanket on sofa!!! Confused

Snozberry · 28/07/2015 22:39

Mine was on this morning, I am up north

irie · 28/07/2015 22:41

Ours is on too and we're in London Shock

dougieroseagain · 28/07/2015 22:43

I'm in Cambridgeshire. I went oop north today to visit friends and the rain was sheeting it down on the M62. It feels like November!

I feel so sorry for the people in the campsites. One of the friends said that her work colleague had been stuck inside a caravan in Whitby since Saturday. Now THAT'S a test on a marriage!

I'm guessing youre up north

dougieroseagain · 28/07/2015 22:44

Shinyshoes - are you in southern spain? It's 40 degrees there.

ExitPursuedByABear · 28/07/2015 22:46

I'm oop North. It's like fucking November. Although I love November. In November.

cardibach · 28/07/2015 22:50

YANBU to do whatever you need to do to be warm enough. I can't quite see why hot water bottles AND heating would be needed though - it's cold for July but not sub zero!

bumbleymummy · 28/07/2015 22:50

Yanbu. It's bloody freezing. It does feel like October Angry

BoysiesBack · 28/07/2015 22:50

YANBU, I'm in fluffy slippers, jumper and have the heating on.

Not that I'm complaining, hate summer but I would like the rain to let up, it hasn't stopped for 4 days and my DCs are getting stroppy.

KneeHighScooterBruises · 28/07/2015 22:52

It is November in Glasgow. Fucking fed up. It hasn't been over 15 degrees all week. It was 11 today, all day. It's also rained all holidays.

dougieroseagain · 28/07/2015 22:52

Damn, I think I've left the hot water bottles upstairs and DH has gone to bed. I'm either going to be v cold (sorry cardibach I feel the cold dreadfully and can't get to sleep unless I'm vv warm) or will have to wake him up by turning on the light and rummaging around the sheets.

Decisions....

SW London, I've had the heating on for an hour or two for the last three nights. I'm not putting a jumper on because I can't be bothered to find one. I like it though, no struggles to get the cat in.

MagpieCursedTea · 28/07/2015 22:54

I put the heating on earlier. I was quite excited though as we have a new boiler with hive controls so I switched the heating on with my phone. Living in the very cold future!

Thoughtfulduck · 28/07/2015 22:56

I lit the log burner this week. It made me feel quite Christmassy....then I remembered it was July!

roundandroundthehouses · 28/07/2015 23:01

Northern Ireland, here. The only reason ours isn't on is that we've run out of oil. We lit a fire for a couple of hours last night. Bought logs for 'next winter' in March, and we've been through most of them already.

ScorpioMermaid · 28/07/2015 23:02

I'm in the Midlands and ours is on too its fecking freezing! We had it on yesterday aswell. It's not right is it?!

dougieroseagain · 28/07/2015 23:04

Of course, as soon as the kids go back in September it will be blazing hot again for 6 weeks until half-term.
