Read a link earlier from a friends newsfeed on Facebook.

A Woman on Benefits Jaywick or something (I don't watch such shows, it is akin to going to Bedlam on Sunday afternoons to gawp at the less fortunate) pierced a babies ears for £10,. Assuming the stud gun is new each time and sterile what is the difference between this woman piercing and a Saturday job girl at a Jewellery Shop ? Surely it is the Mother at fault ? if anyone is at fault.

Is it only me who sees a lot of benefit bashing on TV, in "news"papers, radio talk shows etc ? Find it quite taunting and trying to show the people up for being on benefits.

Perhaps to equal it all up we have overkill of MPs expenses, renting out second tax payer funded homes, etc

I don't give a fuck about her being on benefits*, but I do give a fuck about the fact she she shoving sharp metal through the flesh on babies appendages. And the mothers that pay her are just as bad. As are anyone else who does it. I judge them, I don't care if you like that or not.

*I would imagine making money on the QT matters to how much they should be getting though.

I agree there are too many benevit bashing programmes around, though. And punching holes in a baby's ears is dodgy full stop, but especially if you're getting it done by some random and don't even know if the gun's sterile. I think Rachel's right that no parent should be doing that.
