It does not look nice at all, it looks ridiculous WTF is it even about! Confused

OP posts:
NeedsAsockamnesty · 17/07/2015 21:07

It's a reference to a shopping list found in a trolley about ham I believe.

It's just a tongue in cheek way of implying the thing refered to may be just a bit up its own arse

Ivegotthree · 17/07/2015 21:09

Agree, utterly infuriating

GoofyIsACow · 17/07/2015 21:09

Let's just bypass the explanations

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 17/07/2015 21:11

Can we also stop "bleddy" whilst we're at it?

And "nom nom"...

thatstoast · 17/07/2015 21:11

GoofyIsACow · 17/07/2015 21:20

No. Actual. Way... i am struggling with this news

AuntyMag10 · 17/07/2015 21:24

Yanbu it sounds so stupid, but here they think it's a clever thing.

Hepzibar · 17/07/2015 21:26

Come on OP, add in pom bears whatever they are and it means you are a bonafide MNer. like me now

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 17/07/2015 21:28

It. Is. True. goofy! Grin

GoofyIsACow · 17/07/2015 21:28

Oh now hang on, you can't come on a slate people because they were witness to really funny threads that you weren't around for (probably because you didn't have children back then or just hadn't discovered the site)
Just accept that there a group of posters who have heard it some that haven't, to slate it like that is a bit mean and bitchy tbh

GoofyIsACow · 17/07/2015 21:29

Although... Having said that... The fucking nomnombrigade can fuck off to beyond the far side of fuck

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 17/07/2015 21:30

I was just about to challenge you to find the hilarious thread involving "nom nom"!

Lashalicious · 17/07/2015 21:30

I. can't. stand. people. writing. like. this. It's. not. cool. any. more.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 17/07/2015 21:31

Oh. No! Shock

FarFromAnyRoad · 17/07/2015 21:33

There's always something that someone can't stand. It's never going to be bland and proppa is it? And good thing too - because life isn't and all the people you meet are not. Stop getting so wound up about shit ffs!

I thought that too Confused. Never seen it here except when repeated with an air of derision which is precisely what it deserves!

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 17/07/2015 21:40

I would suggest an advanced search re: nom nom and its non-ironic usages

Jollyphonics · 17/07/2015 21:40

I think I remember the original thread. Someone was talking about buying nice ham in a supermarket, but she made a typo and typed naice instead. People picked up on it, and it became sort of indicative of "posh".

I know what you mean about "in jokes" being a bit irritating if you don't know the origin. Maybe there should be a glossary!

PushPineappleShakeTheTree · 17/07/2015 21:42

I fancy a naice cutted up pear... nom nom nom
