Shocked to actually find myself agreeing with the chancellor, well some of it. I think we have actually come to a stage where enough is enough and cb and tc for 2 children only, as shocking as it seems is actually the right thing to do!

Not sure about the budget. It's supposed to be 'rewarding those in work who pay into the system' but lots of families who are hard-working and in full-time employment with only one or two children will be poorer by as much as £1500 a year. I think that's extremely unfair.

Typical daily mail showing a very extreme example with that woman with loads of kids.. lots of commenters on there very pleased the 'scroungers' with zillions of kids can no longer claim as much. Ignoring the fact that as I mentioned above those hit hardest are in fact WORKING families with 2 or less children.

I work full time, divorced, only have two children (both unplanned, so I guess I count as feckless enough, eh? But will be having no more, so perhaps less feckless than some, I don't know how the fecklessness scale goes exactly), and I will apparently be £1157pa worse off due to this budget. That's all money which was paying for the childcare needed for me to work full time (in fact, it doesn't even cover childcare fully), so if it's meant to 'encourage people in to work' or to take on more work, instant fail. Perhaps I'm just not hard working enough for the Tories and need to take up prostitution in my spare time.

It's not just large families or the unemployed who are losing through this.

I won't be getting the free childcare, and never did due to nursery cock ups/claiming it didn't exist in area/etc, so do I now get to bitch about paying for other people's kids when mine got no help? That'll be 'fun'.
