Yabu.

CatsCantTwerk · 01/07/2015 07:29

MAN UP? Nice! Hmm

MrsRossPoldark · 01/07/2015 07:31

YANBU, but I can see that the phrase needs using smewhere along the line. It's not that unusual that we get little heatwaves! They don't usually last long and we cope by going indoors or in the shade. You'd think we'd be used to it by now, but nope! Gives us all something to moan about!Grin

MishMooshAndMogwai · 01/07/2015 07:31

Id ban people pointing out to me how much I must be struggling 'IN THIS HEAT' (37 weeks pg). Yes it's fooling hot my class of 8 year olds are struggling just as much as me!

TealFanClub · 01/07/2015 07:32

two days of warmth

IN THIS HEAT

OP posts:
YouTheCat · 01/07/2015 07:33

Some of us can't just go indoors or in the shade due to our work.

I protect myself as much as possible but this kind of weather makes me feel ill.

ashtrayheart · 01/07/2015 07:33

Come on let's not argue in this heat Grin

MamaLazarou · 01/07/2015 07:41

YABU

seanbonbon · 01/07/2015 07:45

YANBU I'm in Ireland and 2 weeks ago the weather was still like March so we grumbled about that - now it's too flipping hot and the heat's getting blamed for everything. People have to give out about something Shock

googoodolly · 01/07/2015 07:45

it wouldn't be a British summer without everyone moaning though Grin

dexter73 · 01/07/2015 07:50

Yanbu. I think I was a lizard in a previous life.

fiveofcups · 01/07/2015 07:53

It's never too hot for me in the UK.

I presume lots of us have been to Turkey or Greece during the summer?
That can get a bit uncomfortable.

We get so few warm days in the UK- I love every minute.

swimmerforlife · 01/07/2015 07:58

YANBU. People complain when it's too cold, so I thought they would welcome this hot and sunny weather but oh no it's too hot. People at work will be moaning over the temperature, windows opened or not and air con on or not. When I am wishing I could be sunning myself

I bloody love this weather, wish it would stay around all summer but I doubt it will. Though I grew up abroad where this weather thats considered a heat wave in the UK is a normal summer.

But when you're in Turkey or Greece, you can hang out in your bikini and swim to cool off.

For those of us with sweaty commutes and unairconditioned offices, it's oppressive and grim.

Never mind: it's going to be cold and rainy next week - hooray! Smile

southeastastra · 01/07/2015 08:00

problem is it goes from cardigan weather to fuck me it's boiling in one day. we never get to really enjoy much of a build up anymore.

MamaLazarou · 01/07/2015 08:10

Yes, weather was much more consistent in the Seventies Hmm

IKnowIAmButWhatAreYou · 01/07/2015 08:12

YANBU, make the most of it while it's here FGS....

Mrsbird311 · 01/07/2015 08:19

I can't stand summer, says that start too early and never end, I end up looking a red sweaty mess with frizzy hair and bad tempered, roll on autumn with crisp sunny days , boots, jumpers , bonfire night.... I am counting the days

MamaLazarou · 01/07/2015 08:21

'Make the most of it', eh? Ok, then: I'll wear a knotted hanky on my head today at work in my airless sweatbox of an office Grin

fiveofcups · 01/07/2015 08:22

Office work wouldn't be for me.

slightlyconfused85 · 01/07/2015 08:24

Yanbu, it's such a rarity. Won't last long anyway! And this coming from someone 37 weeks pregnant

avocadotoast · 01/07/2015 08:25

You can't be looking to ban "in this heat" while using the phrase "man up". Seriously now.

Bakeoffcake · 01/07/2015 08:28
