Virtually everyone has said they cry at the end of this kids book but I bought it to read with the wee one this evening and...nothing. I wasn't quite sure what bit I was supposed to find emotional other than the poor wee bugger who's got sniffles and coughs Hmm

Am I just a cold hearted bitch or is there something I'm missing?

The Little Sailor by Claudio Munoz is a great kids book imo, if I read it with my kids after a glass of wine I have a tear in my eye!

I always used to cry at The Railway Children (and still do just thinking about it...) because their daddy came back and I knew mine never would.

Goodbye Mog and Peepo (bought it for a Mner's little girls first birthday!)

I've just ordered The Mousehole Cat for when DC1 arrives and blubbed at the blurb! I love that story as I grew up in Cornwall and could probably recite it word for word right now without the book. God knows how I will make it through the first time I try to read it.....

The Night You Were Born.

I tear up just thinking about it.

Farmer Duck...when he is sleepy and weepy and tired- the illustrations are marvellous.

Dogger, no matter what, guess how much I love you, badgers parting gifts and bizarrely the tiger who came to tea. Thinks it's daddy coming home and making everything better. Blushing at the thought!

Oh... And Voices in the Park. And several of the others already mentioned. Am off to hunt for the ones I haven't heard of....
