My friend just sent this to me. How vile and misogynistic is this shit?! Even in jest I don't find this funny. And what's #9 about?

Friend sent me this. Bleurgh.

Probably created as a joke!

GlitzAndGigglesx · 21/06/2015 20:04

I just re-read it and can't help but think why would you be going through your sons messages anyway? Especially to his partner

MrsGentlyBenevolent · 21/06/2015 20:05

I've seen glitz one before, has led to many a smart ass commen about the last line - the dad coming around and having long nights of mind blowing sex with said boyfriend Grin. They're all ridiculous though, usually by parents who initially had the 'share if you are proud of your son/daughter'. No, because obviously I think my child is awful, so I won't share Hmm.

RubbishRobotFromTheDawnOfTime · 21/06/2015 20:07

It's not a parody. It's just another shitty version of the original shitty thing upthread.

Very depressing that lots of people seem to think it's funny and clever.

Fugghetaboutit · 21/06/2015 20:11

I was very Hmm at my friend sending it, but we are quite different I guess.

Ugh they are both awful. I like the Feminist Dad none though.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 21/06/2015 20:12

*one not none

plutonimum · 21/06/2015 20:29

ghostyslovesheep, that is wonderful! I'm not going to climb out of the computer for this, as I'm sure that's against most sensible people's Rules Wink (!), but please let me just kiss your feet!

Starbrite00 · 21/06/2015 20:37

Its a bit "bates motel"

AudiR8 · 21/06/2015 20:40

I'm watching 'Monster in law' at the moment, sounds like the person who wrote these have very similar characteristics with the DM in that film.

Very strange and I have 2 DS'.

CrystalHaze · 21/06/2015 20:47

I find these type of things very useful - the sharing/liking of them provides a handy shortcut to discovering who, of your FB 'friends', is disappointingly moronic, thus allowing you to disregard any of their future opinions on anything else.

AdventureBe · 21/06/2015 20:49

Surely the whole point is you're supposed to think the writer is unhinged?

FranBrodie · 21/06/2015 20:56

I think I met a mum like this recently Sad

Rules for dating any of my kids...
Treat them how you would like to be treated yourself.
Most other things are U.
Your mate is BVVVU

RubbishRobotFromTheDawnOfTime · 21/06/2015 21:26

I honestly couldn't be good friends with somebody who felt anything other than revulsion at those lists.

mrsfuzzy · 21/06/2015 21:33

flame me but they sound american, 'daddys princess'... whoever came up with that shite needs shooting too

fastdaytears · 21/06/2015 21:36

ghosty I love that. Parents who think it's ok to control their kids' dating lives are proper PROPER creepy

Fugghetaboutit · 21/06/2015 21:50

Crystal Grin quite true! FB is eye-opening

BestZebbie · 21/06/2015 21:52

....I really liked your 'rules for dating my daughter' sign but then I gender flipped it and it is suddenly rather chilling then! :/ I guess that would be because it stops being feminist and starts being super patriarchal at that point, despite discussing the exact same rights for the young person involved.

Rules for dating my son:

  1. I don't make the rules

2. You don't make the rules
3. He makes the rules
4. His body, his rules.
ghostyslovesheep · 21/06/2015 21:55

no foot kissing needed Grin I will accept wine though Wink

CoffeeAndBiscuitsPlease · 21/06/2015 21:59

I saw this on facebook the other week and I just thought "MIL from hell!" crazy and possesive

fastdaytears · 21/06/2015 22:01

BestZebbie I don't find that chilling. If a boy doesn't want to get it on then he says no and it's his body and what he says goes. I don't think it's meant to mean that the daughter/son involved can make decisions about anyone else's bodies.

plutonimum · 21/06/2015 22:21
Stopandlook · 21/06/2015 22:22

Sorry, I laughed... In disbelief though!

Aeroflotgirl · 21/06/2015 23:22

They are nasty and creepy.
