to not be into this modern obsession with smelling of chemicals rather than like a human

I personally find it normal to have a human smell about you after a hot (28 degrees) working day.

I find the smell of peoples aftershave, perfume and cigarettes quite offensive. Really irrigates my nose and throat.

I seam to be in the minority, I use natural deoderants but after 12 hours I do smell like a human. I've been the one spoken to about my hygiene rather than the smokers or the heavy perfume wearers. I wash every morning, dry skin brush to remove dead skin and use a chemical free deodorant. But I do smell like a human at the end of the day, not like aritical chemicals. I seam to be on the outside in this modern world.

I swear quite a lot and spend a fortune on dreaded "chemicals". I buy industrial strength deodorants because I'd be mortified if someone thought I smelt. In fact I don't think I could go back to work knowing my colleagues had discussed it.

There are masses of deodorants that are either fragrance free.very subtle or smell iust like a nice soap. If it smells very chemical its probably a cheap nasty one so try another one FFS. Its what, two quid? The smell of BO makes me heave. I'd rather smell perfume any day. If you like the smell of bacteria fermenting under your arms your sense of smell must be fecked/you must reek all the time and not notice it any more. Your poor colleagues.

Sweat ! Although I also swear.

Maniof3 Usually us HH sufferers put lemon juice in a spray bottle for spraying on 'pits' - it keeps fine for a few hours in a bag and then in the fridge over night. Or just carry a small tub of baking soda for staying over.

To be fair I prefer Mitchum deodorant myself as I find lemon and bicarb too messy/sticky, (also heard you can use milk of magnesia but never tried that personally!) but many swear by the juice method.

Wasn't there thread few months ago about the same thing? That op was stinky with messy hair and management told her off?
Is that her again?

I actually find it a bit... sad, that some people struggle to keep themselves smell free for the whole day and yet here we have a person who prefers to stink. Oh well, there are also pro lifers, anti vax and other funny individuals. Nothing we can do about them.
