Murdoch has spent his life shitting on and deconstructing the cultures of countries that are better than him, but worst case scenario with Sky News is that Kay Burley behaves like an irredeemable twat and tries to get at your kid's medical details in a kind of unthinking way. She doesn't actually get those kids drunk on compulsory payments poor people go to prison for not affording, then hand them over to Jimmy Saville to be raped, abused and possibly murdered, then knowingly lie about and continue doing the same thing for decades until the truth is brought out forcibly.

"Watch the BBC" my arse. I spent 30 years going to sleep to radio 4 every night and now I just feel dirty for it. They cannot leave a 50ft crater where BBC Television Centre was quick enough as far as I'm concerned, it's Yet Another Rape Institution where little boys and girls have had their happiness and innocence ended, and fuck knows we don't need those.

I still think Kay Burley probably ought to be sacked, though.

I always thought he was gay but apparently not at all. Not that it matters either way. He was just very camp.

He was this incredibly amusing tic-tac man who was also very astute about politicians and used to sum up the ludicrousness of it all.

Her broadcast is compelling in its combination of fake reverence and ghoulishness.

Lots of blaming of one person here really. She's doing a job she's paid to do, and by her employers ideas, doing it well. She's successful at broadcasting and has the right balance of sad face/hard face/smirk when needed. She's a professional.

Please don't post the bollocks about the BBC being somehow more professional or warm. They are not.

Sky news, BBC and Others were disgusting in their reporting, their face book digging, their blackmailing and their complete disregard for human decency outside of a school.

It's not so much "blaming" one person.

The thread is about one person - that's clear from the title onwards.

One person who I don't think is good at the job and, unlike some on the thread, I don't think is even in the 'so bad it's good' category. Because she doesn't have a balance of styles: she has limited range, and makes inappropriate choices which show poor judgment (this latest interview and April Jones being the ones which stick on my mind). Not in a positive, let's talk about this broadcast way. More a 'time they had another clear out' sort of way.

The BBC interview (on this specific event) was far more informative, because you could actually hear what the interviewee had to say.

I have had the bad luck, through no fault of my now, to end up watching Hannity and Bill O'Reilly on a few occasions, and if I had been in my own house, I would have thrown something at the TV. They are the most ill-informed dumb idiots ever.

If her bosses at Sky News give her a remit to be vile, she can always say no. And quit. But somehow I doubt they do. No one could fake being that awful. What we see is the real Kay Burley. Disgusting creature.

She was insisting he apologise for IS beheading someone.

He was trying to speak but she kept interjecting and repeating herself. At one point, when he said she was being racist she told him to "get over yourself".

I'm afraid a thread about the nasty behaviour of Kay Burley is going to be about one person - Kay Burley. I said up thread that I dislike Sky's news style (and also Fox, sometimes the BBC and sometimes ITV news too) but KB is a very unpleasant journalist. She may be demonstrating the kind of approach the TV news bosses encourage (if they do) but she has a very clumsy and insensitive style. She is quite a lot worse than many of the others.
