To think ponies don't belong in upstairs flats?

I have just read a post on my local FB page a post about a horse being ridden bare back through the local town.

The thread then details with people asking if that's the horse that lives in an upstairs flat in xxxxx town. Apparently it is derelict and someone keeps their pony there.

Then the owner rocked up and said yes, it was fine, she'd phoned the RSPCA and there was no problem.

Really? Surely horses need to graze?

maybe its a rocking horse

LaurieFairyCake · 08/06/2015 18:28

Eh?

Horses go down stairs? No, they don't really manage them well.

They can go up ok.

LaurieFairyCake · 08/06/2015 18:29

A bit like Daleks

Pooseyfrumpture · 08/06/2015 18:29

Maybe it likes the view?

The5DayChicken · 08/06/2015 18:29

She's probably lying about having called the RSPCA in order to stop others doing so. I very much doubt they'd be happy with a horse living inside.

CatthiefKeith · 08/06/2015 18:30

I can't link, it's a private group, but I have helpfully taken screen shots. Grin

Yeah i doubt she's cleared it with anyone. Who owns the building? Probably not her! And i doubt the owner knows. Is she a traveller?

I immediately thought of The Commitments.

Doesn't a horse get led out of the lift?

usualsuspect333 · 08/06/2015 18:32

I bet the neigh-bours are not happy.

Andrewofgg · 08/06/2015 18:33

The situation is not stable.

usualsuspect333 · 08/06/2015 18:33

I don't think you should link real names on MN

SurlyCue · 08/06/2015 18:34

I thought of into the west! Grin

CatthiefKeith · 08/06/2015 18:34

It appears nobody knows who owns the flat.

PenguinBollards · 08/06/2015 18:35

I 100% do not believe that the RSPCA said, 'yeah, great, keep a pony in an upstairs flat why don't you.' Hmm

CatthiefKeith · 08/06/2015 18:36

Shit. You are right usual, I will ask for the pics to be deleted.

I just didn't think anyone would believe me without them Grin

SurlyCue · 08/06/2015 18:36

Unless the page is a private group then thy have posted on a publicly available internet site. They cant really complain if it is shared elsewhere on the internet. Obviously if its a private group then different story.

vindscreenviper · 08/06/2015 18:37

I 100% believe that what happens on Facebook should stay on Facebook.

The rest is horses for courses.

usualsuspect333 · 08/06/2015 18:38

It's a private group.

mileend2bermondsey · 08/06/2015 18:38

Ok, am I the only one who's first thought was Karl Pilkington Horse-in-the-house story?Grin

And yes OP it is insane to keep a pony in an upstairs flat. Everyone knows they should only be kept in downstairs flats.

SurlyCue · 08/06/2015 18:41

Ahh then fair enough, OP get those photos gone! Grin

PattiODoors · 08/06/2015 18:43

Someone's gonna be for the puissance.

Nay, Keith, you've really got the bit between your teeth.

etc etc.

DoJo · 08/06/2015 18:46

If the flats are derelict and abandoned, then why keep the horse upstairs? Confused

SurlyCue · 08/06/2015 18:49

If the flats are derelict and abandoned, then why keep the horse upstairs?

Maybe there are no doors and the horse would run out but cant use the lift on his own Grin

PattiODoors · 08/06/2015 18:51

ROAR at unable to use lift unaccompanied.
