Mum in the park drinking squash from baby's bottle

Takes all sorts I guess but a woman has just sat down with a child in a buggy and a toddler scooting around. She's drinking from her baby's bottle. Is this a bit yuk or is it the latest thing? Is it replacing cocktails in jars? I couldn't grasp that either!

I've never seen that before. It would strike me as a bit odd.

Maybe she feels ill and desperately needs a drink and doesn't have anything else with her.

And the baby drinks my squash so she should bloody share!

Eh? She probably just didn't have a drink of her own so had a sip of her baby's. I don't think she's doing it as a fashion statement.

Ok well clearly I'm in the minority, but I think it looks odd and a bit gross actually. Not hard if bringing out a bottle for your child to stick a bottle under the tap, surely?

OP, do you realise this is a non event? someone had a drink, you have never considered drinking from a babys bottle or are super organised and always have your own drink with you too but big deal. A drink is a drink when you are thirsty. There really is no need to make it sound like a thread proclaiming "mum in park putting vodka in her babys bottle"

It's easy to forget to take a drink though - with or without having two young kids to worry about. I'm forgetful about things like that and needs must...

Not hard, Getthe, no. Just possible to forget, surely! It would not suit me, I can't even do those sports tops - the drink doesn't come quickly enough. It's not odd though, really, is it?

Dear God, an awful amount of snappiness. I wasn't suggesting she should have her children removed. It was a mere observation and I asked if normal.

I have sometimes drunk from one of my kids' drinks. They have sometimes drunk from mine. In fact, the whole family will sometimes drink from the same bottle, if we're travelling light, rather than carrying 5 separate drinks bottles. Hope you survive the experience if you spot us!
