aibu to complain about the tesco delivery man

I answered the door to take in my shopping delivery wearing loungewear I.e full length pj bottoms and a vest top and he commented "have you just got up?" with a smirk. it was 5pm. but even if I had just got up, is it any of his bloody business? ! as much as I make small talk on the doorstep to these perfect strangers, thought that strayed into into non of his business and just abit rude.
I just said 'no actually' without a smile. think he got the message. what an arse. aibu to complain or am.i just in a mood?

You sound a bit mardy to me. Would it have cost you anything or altered the course of your life to just smile at the guy? He can't help being a bit of a dick with limited social conversational skills but you, presumably, can?

I've had this with Tesco. I work nights and answered the door at 2pm in pajamas.

"Are you having a lazy day?"

Well, if working from 8pm to 8am, coming home, sorting out school stuff, hanging out some washing and then having a few hours kip on the sofa counts as lazy...

I think it was a bit rude but is it really bad enough to complain and potentially put his job at risk. Does it really matter if they suggest you have just got up/are having a day off etc etc. Why do you care?

It was an ill-judged comment but definitely not worthy of a formal complaint. YABU.

Point taken, I won't complain and ruin his day. But I do think they need to be careful with what they say, it was a it misjudged but not malicious. For the record, I have had quite a lazy day after a long week, maybe I'm feeling guilty for not being v productive todayBlush

You were wearing pyjamas at 5pm so it isn't unreasonable to ask if you'd just got up when making small talk?

I know that the Ocado and Morrisons delivery men in my area are on £23-25k, not minimum wage.

Even if it was minimum wage, which it isn't, does this give the right to say anything they like then?

I missed out on years and years of blatant rudeness when I was on minimum wage as I didn't know this weird rule....

Think it was just small talk. Maybe he was surprised to see someone in pj's that late in the day.
I wear pj's or joggers around the house but if I know I have a delivery booked I change for that hour. Just how I'm comfortable.
Don't think he was rude. YWBU to complain

Fgs, stop being ridiculous. I think half the time people are looking to be offended by something. You were in pjs not rude and even if you had done a night shift, so what, you order thd delivery for that time, not like he's cold calling with bags of shopping.
