I made a huge faux pas today. I ordered crumble for lunch and forgot to tick custard! I was gutted when it arrived. I think the hostess thought I was mad ordering pudding without it, I didn't like to demand she find me some as I am NHS on a private ward (don't want turfing back to a room without ensuite)

Ooo, YADNBU, custard is in my top 5 of all time greatest food stuffs.
The only time I've ever complained in a restaurant was when they didn't serve custard with crumble (literally didn't have any in the kitchen, they looked like the thought had never occurred to them ). I don't want fecking cream or ice cream with my hot pudding, thank you very much
