Its great stuff

Vanillary creamy goodness

Totally inoffensive and unrelated to anything else

Great stuff

I bloody love custard.

And don't start me on people who say they hate it, but they eat ice cream. It's the same thing, it's just frozen custard. Grin Sometimes with added stuff. But frozen custard nonetheless. So there.

RedButtonhole · 08/05/2015 22:04

Custard is wonderful.

Especially Ambrosia eaten cold straight from the tin.

DamselNotInHerDress · 08/05/2015 22:09

I'm not really a fan of ice cream either!
My main objection to custard is the skin, followed by the deceitful texture, followed by my hatred of wet and dry foods touching!

ShouldIworryornothelp · 08/05/2015 22:11

We need a custard rehabilitation scheme

State sponsored of course.

The skin is a wondrous gauze of deliciousness.

Passmethecrisps · 08/05/2015 22:16

Is wrong on all levels. All of them

dontcallmelen · 08/05/2015 22:20

Damsel are you my long lost twin?

Passmethecrisps · 08/05/2015 22:21

I used to ask my dad for "Apple pie and ice cream/custard but not touching"

My dad indulged me while my mum looked cross

FadedRed123 · 08/05/2015 22:24

diving into an Olympic sized pool full of the stuff It's thixotropic, mix it correctly and you could WALK across a pool full of custard. Hmm

Passmethecrisps · 08/05/2015 22:25

My brother used to love doing that and getting me to stick my finger in it so I could be all amazed

chairmeoh · 08/05/2015 22:25

Custard goes with anything.
Runny with rhubarb, thick with Apple pie, solid in trifle.
Skin is fantastic. I love to pick the cold custard skin out of the jug while loading the dishwasher after Sunday lunch.
In fact, custard is the new black!

ShouldIworryornothelp · 08/05/2015 22:26

Custard is a non newtonian fluid

Tangofandango · 08/05/2015 22:30

The ONLY way to eat crumble is with a scoop of ice cream with hot custard poured over it. Mmmmm.

Custard not very popular here in Canada and it was a big adjustment for me! A meal out lacks something when I know there won't be anything with custard on the dessert menu. I bought a hideously expensive imported tub of Bird's and I always make up enough for me and DH but he has now got past the fear of offending me by declining it. Think he realises I will happily eat his share too while he has boring ice-cream so I forgive his lack of enthusiasm.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 08/05/2015 22:56

I had cherry pie and custard ice cream at Center Parcs . Divine .

EarSlaps · 08/05/2015 22:59

I love custard but it must be the "add boiling water to powder" variety. Though the Birds version of this has gone all rubbish and the only good one left is Tesco. I ask my friend to get this on her delivery for me sometimes as I don't shop at Tesco.

Eminado · 08/05/2015 23:00

I loooooooooove powdered custard.

Harverina · 08/05/2015 23:08

Yanbu

Homemade custard is amazing.

I once made custard in Christmas ever for a delis smith recipe trifle. It was so nice I ate the whole lot and had to start again GrinBlush

Harverina · 08/05/2015 23:08

Oh dear.

On Christmas Eve I mean!!!

Allalonenow · 08/05/2015 23:11

Nothing beats bananas and custard.
