I have a sicky feeling in the pit of my stomach that we are going to be lumbered with 5 more years of Tory rule. Please let it not be so.

Virtually sobbing in to my sauv blanc after that exit poll. EVERYONE I know has voted Labour up here...I hate the South.

Independence for Northumberland!

girlylala · 07/05/2015 22:26

Yea I think so to rallytog1. But the labour party lied and now they will suffer for it. Sadly, others will suffer to.
Lots of people saying polls are wrong though. Fingers crossed.

Sallystyle · 07/05/2015 22:27

Yeah. I am pretty depressed already. Even though I never expected Labour to win.

wtfisgoingonhere · 07/05/2015 22:28

Smoothyloopy I both work in the public sector and yes, I voted tory. Like it or not the majority wins hence why we have elections. If torys get in its because the majority of people (who voted) voted them in albeit none on this post

Puddingsandpiglets · 07/05/2015 22:28

I work in adult social care, what's left of it, and part of me has died inside seeing the exit poll Sad

Cherrybakewell33 · 07/05/2015 22:28

I'm also giving the coverage a miss. Hoping to polls were way off aswell paxman but I very much doubt it.

SusannahD · 07/05/2015 22:28

Feel sick here too so hope it's wrong

msmorgan · 07/05/2015 22:30

I live up north and work in the public sector, we've had massive job cuts. I voted Conservative. I hope the exit poll is as accurate as it usually is.

SlightlyJadedJack · 07/05/2015 22:31

Depressed here too.

Binkybix · 07/05/2015 22:32

The YouGov exit polls are much less favourable to Conservatives....

Cherrybakewell33 · 07/05/2015 22:32

Of course majority wins. If the majority of people want the poorest and most vulnerable people in our society to suffer the most then I'm ashamed to be honest.

cariadlet · 07/05/2015 22:32

I thought it was going to be really close until that exit poll was released. I can't blame the Scots for voting SNP, but if those seats were labour there wouldn't have been much of a gap between Tories and Labour.

Very depressing. Don't know whether to stay up in case the exit poll was wrong (earlier polls were saying it would be neck and neck), or just go to bed.

girlylala · 07/05/2015 22:32

I really really don't understand how Tory voter mentality works. I'm alright jack. Let those with the least suffer. I'm really really struggling to see how anyone could Cobden people to more of this. It's disgusting.

girlylala · 07/05/2015 22:32

Weathergames · 07/05/2015 22:32

I have vodka - anyone? Grin

I work for the LA - shall I just go down the job centre now?

Come on people - no actual results in yet - exit is only 20,000 people.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 07/05/2015 22:32

As I voted Conservative I'm quite happy. I have fingers crossed the exit poll is correct.

SlightlyJadedJack · 07/05/2015 22:34

Baxterstockman I'm in the south and voted Labour my Yorkshire DH voted Tory so maybe keep your North south generalisations to yourself, I'm in a bad enough mood already Hmm

girlylala · 07/05/2015 22:36

girlylala · 07/05/2015 22:36

*those

PeachyPants · 07/05/2015 22:37

Yes it looks like the Conservatives will be back in government, bugger! I'm surprised the margins on the exit polls are so wide as they'd been neck and neck with Labour all the way through.

OberonTheHopeful · 07/05/2015 22:37

I truly hope the exit poll is wrong :(

x2boys · 07/05/2015 22:37

I worked in the NHS for years I have a disabled child I still voted conservative if people wanted labour to win so badly and they might still why haven't more people apparently voted labour ?( according to the exit poll)
