All other voters could affect our future!

Scary thought.

About 10.45pm with Sunderland constituencies X 3. The interesting thing will be to see how much of a 'swing' has happened in these safe Labour seats.

We will be the laughing stock of the entire world if Ed Milliband gets into No 10. And God help us if Ed Balls has anything more to do with our economy. Interesting how he has been air-brushed from the entire campaign. (although, to be fair, so has Michael Gove).

Ridiculous to say: must be nice to be a Cameron fan with no worries!
I can vividly remember dropping my daughter off at nursery in the financial crisis and my branch of NatWest being closed...when it should have been open with a little note on the door and thinking: shit!!! Please God no run on the bank.

Please no ED BALLS in number 11.

I don't think I am going to dare wake up tomorrow and switch the TV on.

I am really nervous and scared.

I'd disagree clam. Ed M as PM would be evidence of a progressive change from the curse of ideological 'austerity'. The rest of the world eg USA with Obama or Clinton, Europe, and the non-alighned countries would welcome a Labour govt.

Yes, I'm scared too.

I think the difference is that Tory voters are thinking "Oh no, if Labour get in the value of my house might go down. What about my retirement? What about the second annual holiday we're looking forward to?"

Whereas those who are scared of the Tories getting in tomorrow are thinking: "We could end up homeless. We could end up using foodbanks. We're just clinging on as it is, and if they carry on with the cuts/ introduce Universal Credit, that's us and the kids on the streets".

The two don't compare, really.

I don't feel scared, just resigned to another 5 years of the tories

Absolute bollocks Stubborn not all tory voters are wealthy home owners.

Report
DoctorTwo · 07/05/2015 20:23

Hedge funds, non doms, the super rich and the right wing media are shit scared of a Labour government, which is the best reason to vote them in. The Tories will fuck ordinary people and reward their rich backers.

What's striking me more here is Labour supporters are mostly voting out of hate- anger/negativity towards the Tories - while Conservative voters are voting out of respect, passion and positive feelings for their actual party

Whilst I hate the Tories with every part of my being- I am not stupid enough to let this convince me of my voting choice.

I vote Labour for very similar reasons as already identified on here. I feel that the most vulnerable members of society will be hung out to dry under another 5 years of Tory (propped up by any other party) Govt.

Completely agree stubbornstains. As a single parent on a low income I'm definitely scared.

Hoping for a labour win, worried we're going to get a minority Tory government propped up by treacherous lib dens but even less of them this time.

I really don't get Tory voters. I can't stand to see the economy continue to limp on under the austerity measures imposed by Osbourne. We will be totally screwed.

100% agree stubborn.

Might have to get rid of the second car and holiday in the UK this year.

Or

Might have to choose between electricity and heating this winter.

Practically (if you've already voted) this worry is something that is out of your control. Therefore you can do nothing to mitigate it and the best course of action is to forget about it and go to bed.

Only worry about things you can influence.

If your party of choice doesn't get it, similarly you can do nothing about it.

If the Tories get in again my business will probably fold within a year - it is related to the environment.

I voted Green, in a safe Tory seat, and am hoping for a Labour/Libdem coalition, with Miliband as PM …. at least he 'gets' climate change.

UnoPan · 07/05/2015 20:46

clam - you can't really say "that's bollocks" without saying why it is so? Unless you just want to shout and jeer with no argument behind it. There's a word for that, and it isn't a good one.

So, away you go?

Nick Clegg has been scathing about the other two parties - he is a bit of a dick isn't he because he will be getting into bed with one of them. The twonk

Report
Tiredemma · 07/05/2015 20:58

yes but LEM- they will need him.

Report
UnoPan · 07/05/2015 21:01

yep, the GBP may again leave Clegg as a govt-enabler. Lab/Lib is more 'natural' than Con/Lib but we may still see a Lab victory IF the last polls survey have it right last night - i.e. a swing to Labour.

I do hope so uno, i have never cared so much about an election before. It isn't that i have suddenly become political but it seems like so much is riding on this.

They are all lying devious fuckers for me.

I hope labour do better because they got the shit end of the stick on this deficit for me. No one was moaning about Labour from 97-07 when things were tickety boo from an economy point of view.

Report
stubbornstains · 07/05/2015 21:04

Everybody's been absolutely scathing about absolutely everybody, TBF. There's going to have to be a big dose of convenient amnesia when the results come in, methinks.....
