To wonder what on earth Kate was thinking wearing a white dress less than 12 hours after giving birth

Do royals not have lochia? I'm sure I was packing triple maternity pads at that point. It's a bit high risk for leakage on the way home, no?

OP posts:
Justusemyname · 03/05/2015 18:38

I'm sure she had it covered.

ahbollocks · 03/05/2015 18:38

Because she wanted to. Hth.

WhetherOrNot · 03/05/2015 18:39

Well, I didn't leak so why should she?

MrsCampbellBlack · 03/05/2015 18:39

Royalty and celebrities don't bleed - everyone knows that Wink

seaoflove · 03/05/2015 18:39

Even if it was high risk, it doesn't matter, because there were no cameras trained on her rear as she exited the car at Kensington Palace. And even if the dress got ruined, she's hardly going to wear it again.

FWIW, not everyone bleeds heavily. I didn't.

Had you spotted this thread:

AdeleDazeem · 03/05/2015 18:40

I didn't either.

JoyceDivision · 03/05/2015 18:40

Who cares? Wonder what all the other women who gave birth that day are going home in? Anyone?

Me neither; a light flow for less than a week and that was that- both times. She can wear what she likes in my book

PiperIsTerrysChoclateOrange · 03/05/2015 18:41

Because she wanted to.

TheFairyCaravan · 03/05/2015 18:42

How many more Royal fecking baby threads? Do people not do a search to see if there is a similar one before they post?

usualsuspect333 · 03/05/2015 18:43

I bet she had some big granny pants on.

Ouch. It was meant to be a lighthearted thread for those of us with more fulsome ladyflows.

Crouches and backs away from Aibu.

OP posts:
FarFromAnyRoad · 03/05/2015 18:47

Might have been an idea to indicate your 'light-hearted' intentions then OP otherwise you look like just another person with a dislike for Kate and no other way of letting your negativity flow.

Buttercup27 · 03/05/2015 18:47

I can't believe she wore heels 10 hours after giving birth! I couldn't wear the 10 months after !

kinkyfuckery · 03/05/2015 18:48

Maybe she douched right before leaving, and changed into her trackies as soon as she got home?

GiddyOnZackHunt · 03/05/2015 18:48

There's probably some super strength pads and whatnot bunged in 30s before she gets to the door and a secret code word that means You're leaking ma'am keep facing the front and don't turn around.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 03/05/2015 18:49

I'm also surprised at all these threads. I found maternity pads fine - changed regularly and never had a leak. Even overnight.

She was literally standing on some steps for 5 minutes in a loose dress. Are there people who were flooding through maternity pads in 5 minutes? Surely that's the sign of a PPH and you wouldn't be discharged

Even if she did have some kind of leak in the car in the 10 minutes it took to drive home, I'm sure they'll have leather seats and it could be quickly cleaned up and the dress could just be chucked, to be honest

usualsuspect333 · 03/05/2015 18:50

The Royal family lovers on MN won't let you say anything negative about their Princess, OP.

Expect loads of posts calling you vile.

Unescorted · 03/05/2015 18:50

Don't you have anything else to worry about? World famine, peak oil, et al...? Leave the poor woman alone - she has just given birth and had to do a press call to satisfy all the noesy people out there. Ohh she is blooming, look at her how much baby weight is she carrying, what are they going to call the kid, how many contractions, did she bleed, why didn't she bleed, why didn't she do a Q&A like she did after the first.

If it was me - I would have been in my jim jams and giving the forks. She has better manners than me.

AuntieStella · 03/05/2015 18:51

"OP could have searched till doomsday and still wouldn't have found one as utterly pointless as this"

Nope, she'd have found the one I linked.

Or perhaps the several threads urging MNHQ to move them all to The Royal Family topic, so they're all together and people can see what's already running. (They're not against the idea of moving them, but as there aren't as many as yesterday they're probably not going to do it).

ZuluInJozi · 03/05/2015 18:53

I can't get my head around the idea of a hair blowdry, good makeup and heels after birth. I take my hat off to Kate
