My ds is 2.5 and crazy about bing (annoying black rabbit on cbeebies) since there is no bing toys available yet I found a pattern online and made him a cuddly toy bing. This has received a lot of attention and have happily taken peoples email addresses and linked them to the pattern.
This morning we went to the park and a woman approached me asking about my ds's bing, I offered to email her the pattern but she said she wanted to buy the one that I had made. I explained that he wasn't for sale but she kept offering me more and more money (£50 Shock) in the end after trying to explain I snapped a bit, said that its my son's favourite toy and its not for sale and to please leave me alone now.
She huffed off and left with her dd, less than a minute later my ds started crying "bing gone" I assumed he had dropped him off the climbing frame but couldn't find him anywhere, I walked to the other end of the park and saw this woman getting in her car with bing in her hands! I tried to run after her but she drove off, got my phone out to try and take a picture of the number plate but it was to late.
Who on earth would do that? I'm going in between being angry and trying not to cry. Ds cried the whole way home and is now looking around trying to find him Sad
My dd is a year old and we have been in and out of hospital with her for her whole life. I made bing as a present for ds for being angel at all of dds appointments, he even helps to stop her crying during tests.
Lucky I have lots of fabric left over so I'm desperately cutting out fabric to make another one.
I'm just in shock, who on earth would take a toy off a 2year old!
I really don't think the police would be interested in a homemade toy being stolen, sorry for the pity post, I just needed to rant Sad

What a hateful thing to do Sad
I would go to the local paper.

RhinosAreFatUnicorns · 30/04/2015 12:38

Absolutely go public on this! Hideous woman. Facebook it, local paper. Picture of toy, description of woman and car, where you were. I bet it will go viral on social media especially if you put on why this toy is so special.

That's awful, what a cruel thing for her to do.

I had a woman follow me once, bothering me, wanting to buy my handbag. It was very weird, and I was worried that she was just going to try and grab it. She wouldn't go away, kept offering me money, although not as much as the bag was worth, and offering to buy me a different bag as well so she could have mine.

But stealing a toy from a child is a whole different level of awful.

I agree with posting pictures and a description of her and her car on local Facebook pages.

thewomaninwhitefluffybunnyears · 30/04/2015 12:39

Oh yes for the sharing online, that is such a good idea. That is hideous behaviour on every level. Poor you and your DS. Words fail me at that woman's behaviour.

MiscellaneousAssortment · 30/04/2015 12:40

Fucking bitch.

I'm sorry :(

BunnyLebowski · 30/04/2015 12:40

How horrible.

Definitely use FB to try and track her down.

But to those recommending contacting the police, get a grip folks.

TheWitTank · 30/04/2015 12:41

I second her being an evil cunt. Have you got a good description of her/the car? I would be putting it on local pages on Facebook -as it's a rare toy she won't be able to hide it very well. I actually don't see why you couldn't contact the police -it is theft. Whatever the monetary value.

sebsmummy1 · 30/04/2015 12:41

Fucking hell I am so shocked!! Please shame this person via FB or paper or something. What sort of person must she be if she thinks this is acceptable behaviour?

DinkyDye · 30/04/2015 12:42
Shock
MimsyBorogroves · 30/04/2015 12:42

Definitely share over FB. Make the link public, post here and we will share too.

Fairy13 · 30/04/2015 12:43

This is absolutely disgusting. Definitely get it shared on facebook.

I just can't believe it. I would be so so upset too.

ollieplimsoles · 30/04/2015 12:44

If you make this public op please share the link here, I will be sharing on my pages.

What a total bitch. Contact your local paper, this is the kind of thing that local reporters will pick up.

I really hope you get him back and find this cow, I'm really shocked.

IceRebel · 30/04/2015 12:45

I 100% agree with KingJoffreyFanciesDarylDixon, and am reposting their post as this is what you need to do.

The woman needs to experience the consequences of her actions, and if that means those in the local community know about her crime then so be it. She sounds like the type who has never been told no, and therefore thought it ok to just steal what she couldn't have!

"Okay.

Practical stuff. Do you have a photo of said bunny? A description of psycho bi-atch. Know where it happened? Time it happened? Vague idea of what car she was driving? Witnesses?

Go to your local paper. Report the theft to the police.

And cover your local FB page. I have no plans today, I'll do it for you if you like."

morethanpotatoprints · 30/04/2015 12:45

As everyone else said, but also include what she was wearing as she won't necessarily get changed until tonight.
Hair colour, length. description of car and also her child.
Photo of the toy, where it happened at what time.
Share, share and share.
What a horrible person to do this to a child.

forago · 30/04/2015 12:46

I'd try and be at the park as much as possible too as she is eventually going to go back there, tell everyone you know to look out for her and the toy. it is unique so if anyone sees her - get details/follow home. if she has it, march up and grab it. That's what I would do anyway.

HellKitty · 30/04/2015 12:47

Make Bing2 extra special.

goldenduckling · 30/04/2015 12:47

Didn't get the number plate, she drove off to quickly, I was thinking about putting it on the local fb pages just still in shock at the moment. I know what type of car it was (Volvo estate) and could give a good description if needed. I live in a small town and go to lots of groups, I'm sure that someone would recognise her.

OP posts:
sebsmummy1 · 30/04/2015 12:48

I want to know how old, what sort of car? I need to know if she was to all intents and purposes 'normal' or was she off her head or something.

Weekipper · 30/04/2015 12:48

What a despicable thing to do! I hope she gets her comeuppance!

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 30/04/2015 12:48

That was disgraceful. There may be a business opportunity there though, OP? £50?

Those of you suggesting that you 'hunt her down' and other rabble-rousing... how would you know it was this woman given that OP has circulated the pattern for the toy?

She was horrible to steal the toy and will hopefully feel needled about it for always but put the bloody pitchforks down, you sound ridiculous. Shock

NotYouNaanBread · 30/04/2015 12:48

Absolutely get this onto Facebook. Have you got any photos? Describe her in DETAIL. People will share - what a horrible woman.

Stopandlook · 30/04/2015 12:49

Unbelievable. I wonder what kind of future her child has with a parent like that.

Sorry OP. I would be shaken with rage if someone stole my child's irreplaceable but manky toy.
