Their eyeballs tattooed?

I'm no prude, I have a few tattoos myself, all but one are clearly visible and I've had several facial and body piercings, ridiculous hairstyles/colours etc.

But I'm watching a programme and one of the men featured on it has his eyeballs tattooed completely black. How would you even be able to lie there while someone did that to you? Why would you want to?

I get tattoos- they're artwork applied to your body but I can't get my head around why someone would want black eyeballs Confused

What tattooist in their right mind would tattoo someone's eyeballs? Confused. Surely the standard tattoo needle/gun thing isn't suitable for eyes? Sounds like cobblers to me.

Nayville · 14/04/2015 22:49

Jesus H Christ that is MACABRE Shock

ChantenayCarrot1 · 14/04/2015 22:50

I don't quite understand it and certainly feel sorry for the lady with the piercings as she really doesn't seem that confident/happy with the choices she has made which is a shame.

Stealthpolarbear · 14/04/2015 22:50

aargh

Sherlocked221b · 14/04/2015 22:50

I watched a program about that this morning. Looked absolutely horrible. I think they use a smaller needle, kinda like the one used for tattooing eyebrows/lip liner and things.

RedButtonhole · 14/04/2015 22:51

Glad I'm not alone in my amazement!

some people just dont know where to draw the line do they

I think it is an actual 'thing' though

cant say I really fancy it either but each to their own ehWink

MyArksNotReady · 14/04/2015 22:52

Shock NO.

I had my cornea thickness measured once. OMG, you see them coming for your eyeball.

Why would you put yourself through it?

Nayville · 14/04/2015 22:52

I'm in the process of getting a tattoo removed. Twas a mistake a few years back.

I love to see a beautiful, arty tatt mind. Mines just shit

HappyGoLuckyGirl · 14/04/2015 22:53

I dont get people who put big stretchy holes in their ears. Confused

Nayville · 14/04/2015 22:54

Just seen the link - he's clearly not a full shilling.

RedButtonhole · 14/04/2015 22:54

YY Nayville, whilst I'm not really fussed on having any more tattoos myself I do love to admire someone who has really beautiful tattoos all over, but eyeballs?

As a pp said, each to their own but I can't get my head around it!

Stealthpolarbear · 14/04/2015 22:54

no I dont bit its not on the same league
there are x files written about people with more normal eyes than that guy

ShouldIworryornothelp · 14/04/2015 22:55

Same thing that drives people to have their hair dyed I'd imagine

RedButtonhole · 14/04/2015 22:56

The man in the link isnt who I'm watching, the man I'm watching has both eyes done and seems like a well rounded, pleasant and intelligent young man.

I do feel sorry for him, he has been stabbed because of how he looks which is awful

EeyoresTail · 14/04/2015 22:57

What I don't understand is that the parents of the woman let her have a nose piercing at 8 years old and a naval piercing at 10 years old!! Shock Shock

ShouldIworryornothelp · 14/04/2015 22:57

I think people like body art who plan their tats see it as a lifestyle. Young girls and boys who get a full sleeve and their throat done as soon as they turn 18 do it for fashion. I know which one will end up regretting their tats and which won't

ShouldIworryornothelp · 14/04/2015 22:58

Its illegal to have anything other than ears pierced under 16 I thought

MyArksNotReady · 14/04/2015 22:58

I have a natural pale ring of blue in the white of my eye. It goes with my medical condition. I didn't realise it was something others envied. Confused each to their own.

Nayville · 14/04/2015 22:59

It's always seemed to me that people who get these bizarre tattoos Eg on face and EYEBALL have mental issues and are trying to hide themselves, almost. I'd say that of people who get absolutely covered in them as well, like all over - they seem to want to hide behind them.

I've known a few people like this and they were very gentle, sensitive souls.

ShouldIworryornothelp · 14/04/2015 22:59

arks one of my dc has blue sclera naturally. Never thought it could be because of something

ShouldIworryornothelp · 14/04/2015 23:00

I'd disagree with that nay to someone who gets modified it's no different to dying their hair or getting a boob job. They see it as accentuating themselves

MyArksNotReady · 14/04/2015 23:04

I understand those with all blue sclera have osteo something brittle bones quite often. I don't.
