I am not absolutely sure of the exact location of my wedding pictures in the loft. Blush

I will have a rummage later.

Great idea Sir. Grin Can you imagine how that would go?

Christinayangstwistedsister · 12/04/2015 10:22

For some reason I decided to go blonder for mine, I also decided to add in some clip on extensions( I have no idea why either) I then work a cream jacket over a dress...I was the bloody double so Sharon from East Enders ...wtf was I thinking!!!!

BlueberriesAndWine · 12/04/2015 10:24

These are Kim's parents with Judy, her mother looks fab and so youthful.

To think Judy Murray shouldn't have worn all white...

I'm sure the cats of mumsnet woukd have a field day with my permed hair and the fact that dh looked about 12 :)
Am sure one of the aunties might have had an ivory coloured hanky I mean the bitch how very dare she.
I bet the people criticising and bitching on here would be happy to put their pics up so we could slag them off?

Mrsjayy · 12/04/2015 10:26

My hair was very high and bubbily it was horrible i looked like a french poodle and about a million pins in it i tried to take it down on our wedding night dh fell asleep waiting

Mrsjayy · 12/04/2015 10:27

Ah i see M OB went for a bigger hat

Icimoi · 12/04/2015 10:29

What business is it of ours anyway?

Weebirdie · 12/04/2015 10:30

I think they all looked fabulous, but more importantly they all looked gloriously happy.

Christinayangstwistedsister · 12/04/2015 10:31

I think there is a reason some of the wedding albums get ' misplaced'

Weebirdie · 12/04/2015 10:34

The brides dad looks like that bloke who used to do Jeremy Kyle type shows.

Oh and suspect the wedding was in Dunblane because Andy had the ideal place to have the reception - his very own hotel. But also because he has certain obligations to live up to as the very famous son of Dunblane, as well as a boy who was at school the day of the shooting.

Bettercallsaul1 · 12/04/2015 10:37

It's in no way "having a go" at Judy to express the opinion that she wore the wrong colour to her son's wedding! Generally, I think she's fantastic: a great role model and a wonderful mother to her sons.

I would say the same about any mother/mother-in-law who wore white to a wedding. I'm not sure why people think it's a personal attack.

The fact that she looked "fantastic" is irrelevant - I agree that it was a lovely outfit - but in my opinion just not the right thing for a wedding. In the photos, the eye is attracted to colour first and another figure in white automatically draws attention away from the bride who surely deserves to be the focus of attention on her special day!

Surely it's only considerate of the other guests to wear something contrasting as a "frame" for the bride: why deliberately wear the same colour?

Sparkling - the cats would implode in a froth of sartorial indignation, with the brides in the photos either shrugging in a couldn't care less manner or sobbing uncontrollably and lobbings insults back. It would be Messy Grin

SirChenjin · 12/04/2015 10:41

A frame for the bride??! Good grief - what does that even mean?! A wedding is supposed to be a joyous, happy occasion to mark the start of a marriage, not some sartorial 'framing' of Bridey.

OOAOML · 12/04/2015 10:44

I'm not keen on her headgear, but she didn't look at all bridal. The bride was in a big dress and a veil, Judy was dressed like a smart mother of the groom.

Sparklingbrook · 12/04/2015 10:44

'Framing the bride' OMG what's that?

Mrsjayy · 12/04/2015 10:44

Why are we framing brides Confused

Sparklingbrook · 12/04/2015 10:45

Well now I am worried nobody 'framed' me correctly. Sad

Christinayangstwistedsister · 12/04/2015 10:47

I don't think anyone framed me...they were all too busy getting smashed on the free cocktails

Although this could also have been because I was still rather er buxom as a new mum and no one else could fit in the pictures.

Sparklingbrook · 12/04/2015 10:48

Grin Chris

I haven't been to a wedding since 2003 thankfully but do invitations now make a reference to wearing the correct bride framing outfits?

OOAOML · 12/04/2015 10:49

I wore a long dress and a veil, which none of the guests did, but I haven't checked that everyone 'framed' me correctly.

Bettercallsaul1 · 12/04/2015 10:50

I think it's obvious what it means, SirChenjin! The photos are an important part of a wedding and, if the other guests wear contrasting colours, then the main focus of the picture is the bride who is the only one wearing white.

I don't understand where all the accusations of "bitching", "cats' and "claws" are coming from: surely we're all just giving our opinion on a matter of social etiquette? This is not a moral dilemma and no-one is making any serious criticism of Judy!!

Sparklingbrook · 12/04/2015 10:50

I am too worried to go in the loft and look now in case one of the guests was wearing a veil and I hadn't noticed.

OOAOML · 12/04/2015 10:50

Sparkling perhaps as well as enclosing a gift list invitations will also include a list of approved outfits. Department stores could offer special deals if you have the gift list and the outfit list with them. I spy a business opportunity!

Sparklingbrook · 12/04/2015 10:51

I am feeling a bit sorry for the groom in all this. What if he wore a suit and so did all the other men? No framing for the groom then. Sad
