Just that really.

I have problems with food...it's very much feast or famine and nothing much in between. So if you're 'normal', what does a days food look like?

Fryup fried egg, beans, bacon and tomatoes with more of sweet potato and goats cheese bread.

Dinner will be: small quiche broccoli and Stilton I think with potatoes and salad (leaves and tomatoes maybe mushroom and pepper).

SuperFlyHigh · 23/05/2015 14:21

At work it's different:-

Lunch is normally either soup and toast with yogurt and lately small bag crisps

Dinner whatever I fancy quorn stir fry or mince with potatoes broccoli etc.

eat an Orange a day

Also snack on and off.

Lately I've noticed I'm craving more biscuits and crisps besides my normal intake and also starburst.

Edenviolet · 23/05/2015 14:30

Today I've had so far..

Cup of tea, two slices of toast and butter and a chocolate slim fast shake
Glass of water
Pasta, tuna, courgette and peppers, water

This afternoon I will probably have some peppermint tea and some plain biscuits and dinner will likely be lasagne or possibly toast again (depending how I'm feeling as have some stomach issues lately)

I often snack a lot in the evening so will have a banana or yogurt then and occasionally chocolate too

pasturesgreen · 23/05/2015 14:36

Breakfast: milky tea (no sugar), slice of homemade plain sponge (but I'll have eggs at the weekend).

Mid-morning: on a work day, espresso with one sugar.

Lunch: either bowl of soup with a slice of bread or half a sandwich, or pasta with a veggie based sauce, plus a piece of fruit.

Mid-afternoon: large mug of milky tea (no sugar) with either biscuits or yogurt with banana and honey (if I haven't had much for lunch).

Dinner is either soup, or fish like salmon or haddock with boiled potatoes or in tomato and olive sauce, or (very rarely, a homemade burger or some roast chicken or other small portion of meat with veg, plus a piece of fruit.

I eat out about 4/5 times a month. I try to keep in check the amount of biscuits I consume in the afternoon, although I'll have the occasional piece of chocolate, say, 2/3 times a week.

Breakfast: Warm croissant with half a teaspoonfull of home-made marmalade.

Elevenses/lunch: Two medium lattes - with a dog walk in between each.

Teatime Snack: Small piece of home-made banana cake.

Tonight: The remaining quarter of yesterday's quiche (ham, peppers, spring onion, herbs, cheese) with baby new potatoes and salad.

The remaining quarter of yesterday's chocolate brownie pudding.

All this washed down, across the day with sugarless tea.

To me, this is all a Very Big Day of Eating. However I am conscious that I have a rather mixed relationship with food and left to my own devices would under-eat to unhealthy proportions.

itsraining resurrected this thread.

THe point is that to stay healthy weight (between BMI 18 and 23) involves routinely saying "no" to food

its simple, but involves more self control than many posters are willing to accept.

BeaufortBelle · 23/05/2015 20:44

Ah but it's a bit like work.

DH and I live to work. Sadly, we live to eat too. We are only a little bit over our BMIs.
