to think a 17 year old boy doing an Easter egg hunt is a little bit weird?

I know the boy, he does not have SN.

There are photos of him on FB doing an Easter egg hunt this morning. Seems a little weird to me ... and like he should have grown out of this by now...

OP posts:

The Easter egg hunt here had participants raining through 1,4, 20s, 30s, 60s and 80s. Admittedly 4yo ds1 led the charge but we enjoyed the walk!

17yo prob likes the chocolate, parents probably like the activity. Lighten up!Wink

CrystalCove · 05/04/2015 18:09

Flounce off your own thread haha

Andanotherthing123 · 05/04/2015 18:11

Holy crap did he collect more eggs than you then refuse to share them out? That would explain your righteous anger. You are forgiven for being a flouncer.

Twitterqueen · 05/04/2015 18:12

Very worried here - I had Christmas stockings from my parents until my late 20s and do the same now for my adult children.

How weird am I? How suspicious is this? Will I be publicly denounced as a weirdo, pervert and lunatic?

Oh I do hope so.....

annielouise · 05/04/2015 18:13

I've two teens and every now and again they surprise me with the things they still like to do. They would probably act all cool in front of their friends but would still be up for it.

Twitterqueen · 05/04/2015 18:13

oh - forgot to say. I'm not SN either. Clearly that is significant to you OP Angry

KatieScarlettreregged · 05/04/2015 18:13

We did one at work before the doors opened last week. Average age 50. It was carnage. We all agreed it must happen again next year. Grin

LadyPenny · 05/04/2015 18:13

I think everyone was supposed to agree with the op Grin

My 15 year ds joined in this morning with his younger siblings. Can just imagine the reaction if I tell him in two years that he's too old to take part.

Arkkorox · 05/04/2015 18:15

Yabu....

And a bit of a twat.

WonderingWillow · 05/04/2015 18:16

...because it's awesome? And what does SN have to do with it? Confused

NickiFury · 05/04/2015 18:19

What an obnoxious poster.

NerrSnerr · 05/04/2015 18:21

Bloody hell OP. You need to relax!! I take it you wanted everyone to agree with you!?

YouTheCat · 05/04/2015 18:22

I can think of more than computer games, OP. There's the kind of films I enjoy and the books I like to read just to start with. Tbh Easter egg hunts really aren't my thing but I see no reason to sneer at anyone else who enjoys them, nor imply that anyone who does might have to have additional needs. Hmm

HemanOrSheRa · 05/04/2015 18:27

Oh! I was coming on to say this wasn't going to end well. But it's already happened Easter Grin

TheHobbit · 05/04/2015 18:29

I do a egg hunt for DP and he's 29 and I always forget where I hide them so I also go looking. Its my tradition that I will do till I die for both of us. We dont have kids.

Eigg · 05/04/2015 18:31

Oddest thread I've come across for a while. I truly cannot for the life of me imagine what made the OP so angry with either the 17 yo in question or with all of us.

Why would you care??

I assume there is some massive back story.

I feel a bit upset for you Glory hope you feel better soon.

YouTheCat · 05/04/2015 18:34

I reckon this is a reverse and Glorymorning odd username is the 17 year old. Grin added for pure devilment

Weebirdie · 05/04/2015 18:34

We have some Eastern Europeans visiting us right now and Easter is next Sunday, its also the day we are having a tea party for the 9 birthdays we've had over the last 12 days. A big part of the tea party is the Easter Egg hunt we've arranged, my children are aged between 24 and 37, and my 5 grandchildren are aged between 7 months and 9 years old.

We're all having an Olaf cake to share but it was me who chose it even though Im was 57 yesterday.

Life is for living and having fun times regardless of your age.

Allstoppedup · 05/04/2015 18:41

Ha. One of the best flounces I've seen...

Weebirdie · 05/04/2015 18:55

I think Glory just needed an Easter Egg, but maybe she did have one and the 17 year old found it and ate it.

Maybe thats what upset her.

misstiredbuthappy · 05/04/2015 18:55

I saw a lovely easter egg hunt on pinterest. Plastic eggs with little bottles of shots inside Wine

Now thats my kind of easter game Easter Grin

ssd · 05/04/2015 18:57

unless hes playing with his younger siblings or cousins or something like that of course its weird

TondelayoSchwarzkopf · 05/04/2015 19:00

The only explanation for this is the OP is also 17 and rather fancies the guy in question but he only has rush

TondelayoSchwarzkopf · 05/04/2015 19:00

He only has eyes for eggs that should say
