to think a 17 year old boy doing an Easter egg hunt is a little bit weird?

I know the boy, he does not have SN.

There are photos of him on FB doing an Easter egg hunt this morning. Seems a little weird to me ... and like he should have grown out of this by now...

I accidentally as if tripped up DH today to get to the last egg during this mornings Easter egg hunt and I don't even like chocolate! I am 41 years old.

Lighten up OP, there are far worse things in life to judge as 'weird'.

Eigg · 05/04/2015 17:41

Maybe the 17 yos parents set it up for him and he had the good grace yo join in with enthusiasm in order to please them?

I don't set anything that odd about it, even if I did think he was a little old I'm not sure why it should raise such ire that you start a thread about it.

Who is the 17 yo to you? Friend, nephew?

TalkinPeace · 05/04/2015 17:42

Sorry but Lidl mini chocolate eggs hidden around the house and garden are JUST great
it can take days to find them all if they are well hidden

you set some for kids, some for big kids, some for grown-ups, and some for the obsessives
hours of fun for everybody

Andanotherthing123 · 05/04/2015 17:42

This year is the first one where we let the young kids do the Easter egg hunt and me and my siblings hung up our bunny ears.my youngest sibling is 34-we must be your definition of odd.

Yabu and miserable.

HagOtheNorth · 05/04/2015 17:44

Mine did a hunt this morning, and they are both adults. One of the good things about family is that you can have unselfconscious fun. And you can fill the eggs with alcohol later on and drink it with a straw. Preferably a curly one.
I don't think it's anyone other than you who is being a miserable old fucker TBT.

MangoJuggler · 05/04/2015 17:44

Och flounce if you want but tell us why we were sposed to agree with you before ye go

Because you havent explained owt really

Ta muchly

Chopchopbusybusy · 05/04/2015 17:46

I don't think it's odd at all.

meglet · 05/04/2015 17:49

yabu.

Easter egg hunts are ace. I was 'helping' the children at church today.

Rather like the sound of an adult easter egg hunt with champagne.

HagOtheNorth · 05/04/2015 17:49

Enjoy your DD when she's grown up glory.
You may wish that Easter egg hunts are on her agenda when she gets to 17. Or she could be the exciting sort of girl that turns your hair white and keeps you awake wondering when she's coming home. Grin

Andanotherthing123 · 05/04/2015 17:50

Flouncy bouncy flouncy bouncy op Easter Biscuit

YawnyMcYawn · 05/04/2015 17:50

What a very sad OP.

BigRedBall · 05/04/2015 17:51

What's wrong with having a bit of fun in life before the shit begins? I hope he enjoyed it!

You should be careful OP, people might think you're a miserable Scrooge.

LineRunner · 05/04/2015 17:53

Goodness, OP, it's almost as if you are spoiling for a pointless, pathetic fight.

MrsFlannel · 05/04/2015 17:53

"toodles" Grin OP not happy. Lots of "sweetie" and "darling" = one angry OP!

desperatedino66 · 05/04/2015 17:55

Easter Biscuit bore off OP

MiscellaneousAssortment · 05/04/2015 17:56

Err, what happened here? Op tries to get people to poke fun at a teenager, people don't fall for it, OP weirdly pretending that other people's answers somehow off point, when they were simply responding to what the OP posted, then OP mocks people for, err, replying to her post, and flounces off pretending the whole thing is below her somehow.

How odd.

GlitzAndGigglesx · 05/04/2015 17:57

How dare teens have fun and not hang around parks doing stereotypical teenage things!!

MrsTerryPratchett · 05/04/2015 17:58

Fuck me, that went South quickly. Who knew chocolate could piss people off this much?

BigRedBall · 05/04/2015 18:00

Was he wearing rabbit ears and red cheeks or dressed up as a chick? Is that what offended you dahling?

LaLyra · 05/04/2015 18:01

My 15 year old and his 16 year old cousin had a ball with the Easter Egg hunt this morning. They had a great time. My BIL was banned from joining in by the children on the basis that he is "too tall & can see too much" :)

Signing his name on the note for Santa and hanging up his stocking he does for the sake of his younger brother, DD's age 12 do the santa thing for the same reason.

WhoKnowsWhereTheChocolateGoes · 05/04/2015 18:02

Hmm, if you'd been at our house today you would have seen a bunch of people in their late 40s doing one.

thornrose · 05/04/2015 18:03

Toodles then! Grin

Dumbledoresgirl · 05/04/2015 18:05

Hiding this thread now you miserable fuckers so blah blah blah I don't have to see anymore of your pathetic comments

A more obvious case of the pot calling the kettle black it would be hard to find.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 05/04/2015 18:05

[tbybiscuit]

Did the Easter bunny miss you out OP?
