Just noticed that the label on my packet of dried mixed fruit says "add a juicy sweetness to fruit cakes and puddings".

Do they think people buy them and don't know what to do with them? Or make fruit cakes and puddings without fruit and wonder what went wrong - "where's the juicy sweetness I wanted?"

When will this trend for bloody patronising stupid over-familiar labels end?

I'm not BU, am I?!

I was idly perusing boxes on the chemists shelf while waiting for a prescription the other week and found an own brand Canestan type cream which bore the legend 'DO NOT USE ON EYES'. Capitalised. On the box, not even on the slip of paper inside. How many people have misused thrush cream and gone blind for them to feel the need to add that?!

This isn't food labelling but it is similarly rage inducing tweeness.

I'm in the States atm and have recently went to a town where there were notices above dog poo bins which had a cartoon picture of a dog and the words 'I'm sorry I was naughty, Please clean up my potty'

Wrong in so many ways I can't even begin --- what ever is wrong with 'clean up your dog's mess'.

TheCrow - have never seen wine suggestions for crisps before! Do they have different wines for each flavour? "Best with Pinot Noir and some distant acquaintances." ?

Driven into a rage?

I couldn't live life at this pitch.

The crisps thing could be fun.
Cheese and Onion: enjoy with a coffee and the bloke from accounts who always stands that bit too close.
