Also yes, I did seek to defend the other poster as there was a pile-in going on and having been on the receiving end of one of those myself, some years ago, I did not like to see someone going through it.

I can see how she may have upset people, I cannot speak for her motives or beliefs but I hate to see a ten-against-one set up in any circumstances. It just makes me want to rail against it.

yes. I was able to keep my calm when some posters had a go at me for something but it is goady when they start a taat! and mention something you have said in their OP but they don't get banned! (the taat was reported and deleted but that was all, I had it on watch just to see )

I am not sweary, robust or sarcastic. I really really like ESD's posts and hope very much she is back soon.

Well, if they have something to apologise for. I don't think having a different opinion is necessarily something to apologise for - even if some people find your position upsetting.

Eg I wouldn't expect someone to apologise for having a different opinion to me on blood sports even though I would find it an upsetting topic to discuss and while I may listen to their opinion, I wouldn't accept their point of view or apologise myself for thinking that they're wrong.
