I know nothing about her, but I do think accusing others of being sock puppets is really objectionable. I had it once on a thread when I was one of a small minority supporting the point of view of a poster who, for a time, a lot of people were attacking. It was utterly ridiculous, because you only had to look at my posting history to see that I couldn't conceivably be her sock puppet. I was extremely angry, because in effect they were accusing both me and her of being liars. But I also thought it was incredibly lazy: blatantly those making the accusations couldn't think up anything credible by way of a counter to my arguments, so came up with this accusation as the only way they could think of to discredit them. And, after all, MN have made it clear more than once that the way to deal with suspected sock puppets is to report to them.
So if ESD was repeatedly accusing others of being sock puppets, I can perhaps understand MN's point of view.
