My FIL knows vaguely that I'm an opera-goer so always puts Andre Fucking Rieu on at full blast when I visit for reasons I am yet to fathom.

He also unkindly assumes I'm a Lloyd Webber fan.

They did, last Thursday as pointed out by Arsenic at least 3 times on this thread. They also posted in site stuff but still no reply from MNHQ.

I normally hate the OTT arse munching that goes on when a well know poster gets banned (Rosa Parks anyone? ) but I do like ESD and it would be sad to see her go.

I sort of get the comparisons to to Stranded Bear, br I think it's probably mostly because they were young mums etc. I think that ESD is totally genuine and others who have had a lot more interaction with her seem to think so to which is good enough for me.

Not to ask why they were Banned, though, Flossy. About a different matter (to do with getting an old username back?).

Annoying though it is to be suspended on a weekend I think it's unreasonable to expect a full explanation immediately late on a Sunday when the MNHQer might not be able to make a final decision without running it by more senior Community Standards staff. You just have to see it as a chance to calm down if you've stepped over the line.

a) emailled,
b) opened new a/c and posted in site stuff (I will go for another furtle there in a mo)
c) reported her own post in site stuff

She has no email, no response to any of it and has in fact been banned twice today.

I interpreted the above as ESD had e-mailed MNHQ to ask why she was banned.

There is a long term poster who has Stranded as a friend on FB. She is NOT the same person as SP/ESD.

I have ESD on FB, I have known her here since the year we both joined. I've seen.the troll hunting. It's daft.

HRTFT but for those wondering if it was her name that was reported. MNHQ do email you and ask you to change your name . They don't just ban you.

Anyone with the authority to ban or suspend, has the authority to send a holding email, at least.
