to ask you to read this book

Pear Shaped by Adam Blain. my 44 year old husband has written a book about his aggressive brain tumour. its frankly hilarious - i know, it shouldnt be. it is very dark humour. you can download it from amazon and it would be wonderful if his writing could reach as many people as possible

Brilliantly written. Laugh out loud funny. Will recommend it to friends and family. Loved the section on diagnosis and the way doctors 'wince'. Mine have never used the word cancer..I had to ask Hmm Also the section on 'bravery' - spot on.

I haven't quite finished the book yet. Want to savour it and not rush it.

i want to say well done to you and Alan but that would be a bit like calling you brave..

Hi Lu saw this thread and downloaded the book last night partly because I sadly have a good friend going through the same illness as your DH. Just started reading it this morning and you are right it's a great read and very funny. I will be posting a review once I finish also on the fiction thread on MN.

I think it might be a good to ask to move this thread to fiction as you will reach a lot of readers that way and threads disappear so quickly in AIBU.
