My bil had a parcel sent to my address (birthday present for my sister)

Aibu to be annoyed at he didn't ask me first if it was ok and only told me today when it was being delivered? (I had no idea prior to this morning)

I don't mind doing a favour for people, but this was very much a case of I had no choice but to do it.

Gosh - some harsh replies on here. Personally I think the OP INBU if she had to wait in unexpectedly. OP - I'm sure this would have gone very differently if you had posted in Chat. As ever on AIBU, there appears to be a group of posters who take real pleasure in swearing black is white, playing devil's advocate and generally seeking to be as obtuse as possible. You don't actually get many genuine replies here anymore IME. Let's just consider the number of parcels for neighbouurs threads there have been over the years - pretty much every single one of those ends in YANBU when neighbours assume someone will take their parcels in. Here's BIL making the same assumption but that's suddenly ok?! Hmm...

OP - as an aside, I live in the US and SIL is always ordering this, that and the other from eg J Crew as it's cheaper here than the UK. Then she asks me to post it onto her! Now that is cheeky - any saving she makes is compensated for by me paying the international postage. Funny how often I forget to go to the post office...

' I'm sure this would have gone very differently if you had posted in Chat.'

I don't think so.
