to give access to unlimited fruit but virtually no sugar or juice

I give my DC access to virtually unlimted fruit but they rarely have sugar or proccesed foods and no sugary drinks. I find with fruit it is easy to self regulate and that's not something most people can do with processed foods. Had a sleepover and when I told the mum how much fruit her dd had eaten she looked horrified as if I had given her poison. When I know my dd had beans on toast (sugar) with orange juice and ice cream. I found this less than ideal but I said nothing.

Aibu or is she?

You two just look rude and ignorant. Did you mother never teach you to just say nothing if all you want to do have a go at someone.

Sure squabble it was adapted from something like this blissfulbasil.com/2014/10/27/homemade-twix-bars-vegan-gluten-free/

Just out of interest, why do people talk about 'full fat coke' (or pepsi). There is a negligible amount of fat in coke. It's the sugar that is removed in the diet version.

OP if you have that attitude, no wonder the other mother was horrified. We are both clearly joking, you sound smug, very serious and a bit stuck up

sPJPPp · 21/03/2015 09:09

Great excuse any unpleasant digs as its "just joking"

I said "ooh coconut blossom, what a treat!" It's hardly an unpleasant dig now is it?!

We are obviously very different people and will agree to disagree, apologies if you found that offensive... Smile

Thanks op - we sometimes buy those Nakd bars when on offer (or 'on the sticker' as we say because we are quite common) and I think surely we can make these -although not sure if it'd be just as expensive.

For balance, we had pizza and cake last night Grin all shop bought as I'm pressed for time at the moment.

Your welcome, nakd bars are quite easy and I cost them as 35p a bar when you buy the cashews and dates in bulk from an Asian shop. Although you do eat more if made in bulk and mess up the kitchen. I buy them when on offer for 50p, just something handy to keep and sometimes not worth it to save 15p!
