Its making my eyes water. I haven't broached it yet but we have a birthday party to go to later.

AIBU to engineer a weetabix accident over breakfast?

Leave him be. Dd wears some incredibly interesting outfits and I don't mind. She's just experimenting.

DinnerDinnerDinnerDinnerBatman · 01/03/2015 08:11

Oh actually I quite like the red and purple. But not as much as I like your kitchen floor Envy

MirandaWest · 01/03/2015 08:13

He looks fine. DD is slowly learning that patterned skirt and stripy tights don't go but it's a long process...

SummerHouse · 01/03/2015 08:14

That boy looks like a placenta ready to parrrtaaaay. Grin

I love it. Bright and colourful.

BreeVDKamp · 01/03/2015 08:16

Aw what's wrong with that outfit?? I think the colours really go well together, lots of men I know wear similar to work!

Remind · 01/03/2015 08:16

Just OOI, what does "go" with red trousers if a clashing bright colour doesn't?

CadleCrap · 01/03/2015 08:16

Leave him. I love the leggings, tutu and wellie boots look my dd is favouring at the moment. Granny just rolls her eyes Grin

paxtecum · 01/03/2015 08:16

I love red and purple together.

Leave the poor lad alone.

themummyonthebus · 01/03/2015 08:19

Panda is spot on. The highlight of my day is seeing what my 4yo has selected to wear. The combinations are often... interesting to say the least. The only things I veto are massively temperature inappropriate things (shorts for going out in in the depths of winter/duffel coat in high summer).

katese11 · 01/03/2015 08:20

similar to what ds (5.5yo) came down in yesterday...only he had a pair of blue shorts over the red trousers.

I prescribe one toddler girl. You'll forget that any colours ever clash...or patterns, for that matter

themummyonthebus · 01/03/2015 08:22

Oh I've just seen the photo - they go great together AND he's coordinated the tights great choice by the way, they're my favourites as well

NorksAreMessy · 01/03/2015 08:23

I think it needs a yellow scarf and grass green shoes and then it will be PERFECT

SummerHouse · 01/03/2015 08:25

Yes norks!

And a sky blue cap may I suggest?

SummerHouse · 01/03/2015 08:26

....and a pair of safety goggles...

sillymillyb · 01/03/2015 08:28

I think it works! I dressed da yesterday in yellow t shirt, orange trousers and red shoes though so I'm poss not best one to ask!

Also, your kitchen looks beautiful from what I can see. I am Envy

LetticeKnollys · 01/03/2015 08:28

That boy looks like a placenta

Grin
krustyem · 01/03/2015 08:28

Nowt wrong with that outfit

JuniperTisane · 01/03/2015 08:40

PandasRock the trousers are from Vertbaudet indestructable range. (boys, but i'm sure it doesn't really matter at that age, he's 4)

He always picks his red or orange trousers if they are available in the drawer. The purple tshirt is new so its his current favourite. I generally try to make sure he goes for a toned down tshirt with the bright trousers, or the other way round.

You've all convinced me to let the Placenta look stay for now. I'll wear my sunglasses.

PandasRock · 01/03/2015 08:46

Thanks, Juniper. Vertbaudet don't do older childrens clothes, do they (have to admit it's years since I looked as dd1 was a giant baby so always had to guess the size as they come up small). Will take a look, in case. Otherwise I'll stick to Jako, but they don't have the same bright colours either this season (or maybe I've missed them).

Dd1 always teamed her red trousers with purple or grass green. I think I'm immune to bright clashing colours Grin. Still, it makes a change from the neverending-pink from dd2.

BorisBaby · 01/03/2015 08:54

He looks fine and I dress my children in bright clothes all the time. I love your kitchen by the way

LaurieMarlow · 01/03/2015 08:56

He looks great. Why would you interfere? I think it's a bit mean to stifle their creativity tbh. What are you afraid of if he goes out of the house like this?

I also love your kitchen floor. Just wanted to throw that in.

JuniperTisane · 01/03/2015 08:59

They go up to 14 I think now. I just checked out the girls range, there is a pair of red trousers in there but there are more in the boys section. I don't know at what age it gets difficult to interchange boys and girls stuff because of shape but there are a few options there.

JuniperTisane · 01/03/2015 08:59

floor is vinyl.

SummerHouse · 01/03/2015 09:02

You must have some red and purple items in your wardrobe? It will strengthen the bold statement if you dress in a matching complimentary way.

TheLastThneed · 01/03/2015 09:03

I love what I can see of your kitchen.

I like those colours together. DD wears clashing colours and patterns together...I love that they're at an age where they feel comfortable enough to wear whatever they want. ..
