Just to say Live Long and Prosper to Leonard Nimoy who was a science fiction legend and who has now passed away

It is very sad, although I know he had been ill with lung problems for some time.

Nimoy/Spock was absolutely one of a kind.

Debs75 · 27/02/2015 22:41

Live long and prosper

Floundering · 27/02/2015 22:48

Shlurpbop · 27/02/2015 23:01

I was never a Star Trek fan, however I thought he was great as William Bell in Fringe. RIP.

Asheth · 27/02/2015 23:08

Live long and prosper... I have shed a few tears tonight. One of sci fi's greats has gone, but never forgotten. RIP Leonard Nimoy. Live long and prosper Mr Spock.

My dad was a big trekkie so it was always on when I was a kid. Part of my childhood. RIP Leonard x

Live long and prosper

COPD Is a horrible disease but entirely preventable if you simply don't smoke, as he himself acknowledged.

George Takei's facebook feed has been very sad viewing today

southeastastra · 27/02/2015 23:23

HelenaDove · 27/02/2015 23:27

RIP Leonard. Original Star Trek series was repeated in the 80s when i was growing up. A schoolfriends mother passed away due to COPD a couple of weeks ago and my DH has it. Its a horrible affliction to have.

OhFlippityBolax · 27/02/2015 23:32

it must be awful to be just remembered for one part

MrsTerryPratchett · 27/02/2015 23:46

It's very sad. He seemed such a lovely man. RIP Flowers

MrsTerryPratchett · 27/02/2015 23:50

it must be awful to be just remembered for one part I think it is if you are Sir Alec Guinness and don't consider the role you are remembered for kindly (and you did many fabulous roles to boot). But I think Leonard Nimoy was fond of Mr Spock. Some of the cast seemed to be genuinely fascinated with space (Nichelle Nichols), humanity (Leonard) and to have used their fame for amazing good (George Takei).

I bloody love Star Trek.

southeastastra · 27/02/2015 23:51

star trek fans are a little crackers

CosmicForce · 27/02/2015 23:56
