StrumpersPlunkett · 19/02/2015 00:23

I have a history of using 1980's cartoons for inspiration. I have moved from ByThePowerOfGreyskull (Herman) to StrumpersPlunket from Jamie and the Magic Torch. Smile

to ask what your mn nickname means?
StrumpersPlunkett · 19/02/2015 00:24

TheWoollybacksWife · 19/02/2015 00:30

My DH is a Woollyback Definition of a Woollyback

AliceLidl · 19/02/2015 00:38

I wanted something literary but with a slight twist. And I was making an Alice in Wonderland thing at the time.

DoctorShoe · 19/02/2015 01:40

I like Dr. Who.

I was looking at a shoe when I picked my username.

I also happen to be a doctor, but I wasn't really trying to get that across.

Notenoughwine. I'll second that. You can never have too much wine

Is MN giving constant errors for everyone else this evening too? Or just me...

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 19/02/2015 02:25

No not just you, Left. Me too.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 19/02/2015 02:26

It's happening to me, too lert

TheChickenSituation · 19/02/2015 07:21

I name change regularly, so this one doesn't really mean anything in particular.

I overheard some - radio? TV? - can't actually remember, talking about 'the chicken situation', and I just thought, well. Grin It could mean anything, really.

mrsmilkymoo · 19/02/2015 08:20

I name changed shortly after dd was born. Mrs milky moo is what I called dd when she was a real boob monster. She's usually just called Mrs Moo now!

ifgrandmahadawilly · 19/02/2015 10:27

From an expression my mother used a lot "if grandma had a willy she'd be grandad". Used when us kids were arguing about something e.g, I would say " if she hadn't taken my toy, I wouldn't have hit her' and she would respond 'and if grandma had a willy she would be grandad' meaning that 'if' is irrelevant.

I've never heard anyone but my mother use the expression and have no idea where it originally came from.

I used to be called 'chwaraeteg', which means 'fairplay' in welsh but I think I locked myself out of my account or forgot my p.w or something.

CommanderShepard · 19/02/2015 12:03

Lead character from the Mass Effect series.

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 19/02/2015 12:11

Have already posted in this thread, but fancied a name change and testing it out.

Harley Quinn is Awesome, but her name has been taken with a few variants and this one wasn't.

StarlingMurmuration · 19/02/2015 13:22

I like watching starling murmurations.

MirandaWest, did you know LawrieMarlow is on here too? Pretty sure I've seen RowanMarlow too.

Stillyummy · 19/02/2015 13:29

I'm 6 months pregnant and have not given up on my appearance (yet). I don't have body issues, I just think a positive mindset and mummy that does the things she loves and looks after herself is a good roll model for my baby girl.

BarbarianMum · 19/02/2015 14:07

Mine is self-explanatory, unfortunately. I wanted to CivilisedMum but unfortunatelty my children appear to have been raised in a barn. By wolves.

ZombieJenna · 19/02/2015 14:09

I wrote a Halloween story about a girl called Jenna who ended up being turned into a zombie for a creative writing class. Popped into my head when I was trying to come up with an original nickname

AuntieDee · 19/02/2015 14:11

I work in the Blood Bank and part of my job is testing the antenatal samples and issuing Anti-D (rhophylac) to rhesus negative women.

nachohousekeeper · 19/02/2015 14:13

Mine is a play on words from a line in Sherlock. I think DD found it on Tumblr or something as part of a tribute to Una Stubbs.

I am a serial name changer as I suspect a few acquaintances are on her and I like the anonymity.

I think it will be time for a change soon. My names are usually connected to a sleb that I am having a massive crush on at the time or otherwise film/TV related.

onemiddlefinger · 19/02/2015 14:19

Mine is from this song One Little Finger that my DS loves.

SorchaN · 19/02/2015 15:07

Sorcha is one of the names I considered for my daughter (but I chose another), and the N stands for 'daughter of' (Ni in Irish).

HiImBarryScott · 19/02/2015 15:33

The Cillit Bang advert was on while I was thinking of a new name.

His name isn't Barry Scott either.
