To miss my bed?

I've been away for a few days, to somewhere familiar and perfectly comfortable, and came home this evening.

As I climbed into bed and slid down under the freshly laundered covers, I thought to myself, "Ahhh my bed, my lovely bed."

Am I weird, or do others feel this way, too?

Nah, I love my bed.

I have to sleep in teal/turquoise/seafoam sheets and have a fan blowing in my face.

My bed is the balls.

peckforton · 17/02/2015 23:41

I know my husband feels the same as he is away 2/3 nights a week, however he has to fight off the cats that have moved in whilst he has been away lol

ShebaRabbit · 17/02/2015 23:42

I love my bed, nowhere else I've ever slept in comes close to it. When we lived with a lumpy old mattress I used to love travelling, now we both miss it and have a communal sigh when we get in on our first night home.

MrsTerryPratchett · 17/02/2015 23:45

I bought insanely expensive linens on massive sale recently and I finally get this. I never want to sleep anywhere else.

StrawberryTot · 18/02/2015 00:11

I love my bed. It is like a little boat sailing me away to dreamland.

LineRunner · 18/02/2015 00:35

LineRunner · 18/02/2015 00:52

I have a new mattress for my dodgy back and it is fab.

I have known people take their own pillows on holiday.

catrin · 18/02/2015 01:00

I have recently moved out following a hideous, protracted separation. Slept in a bed last night fir the first time in ages. It was indescribably lush.

ithoughtofitfirst · 18/02/2015 06:17

I can't wait to sleep in my bed again. Currently sleeping in 4mo dd's room and as soon as she starts sleeping through I'm going back in my lovely bed with dh. The spare bed is utter shite.

londonrach · 18/02/2015 07:08

Mil takes her own pillows on holiday!

WyldChyld · 18/02/2015 08:23

I am insanely jealous!! We broke our bed so are sleeping on the floor and our new bed is taking an AGE to arrive =(

WestEast · 18/02/2015 08:26

God no. Being in bed and having a snooze it one of my favourite hobbies.

sebsmummy1 · 18/02/2015 08:26

Oh yes. We've just got back from a long weekend and our beds have been total bliss.

SixImpossible · 18/02/2015 16:17

I'm not weird Grin

Lovely my bed, it's the perfect mattress, so comfy. The mattress my ex had was so hard you may as well have been sleeping on the floor!

magimedi · 20/02/2015 09:05

I love my bed & am exactly the same as OP if I've been away.

WyldChyld, were you living up to your name when you broke your bed? Wink

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 20/02/2015 09:07

God, no I love my bed!

DH has been away this week and I have to say fresh, crisp sheets and the whole bed to myself was fan-bloody-tastic! Grin

LaChatte · 20/02/2015 09:21

My bed is probably my favourite place on Earth. I am also one of those people who takes their pillow with them on holiday Blush

I've had my mattress since 1997*, it's a rock solid futon. The sheets are lovely soft satin type ones from Ikea, and the most recent addition to this ensemble is a teddy bear mattress topper from Dunelm. Perfection!

  • I use mattress toppers, and have also washed the futon cover a fair few times and change my sheets frequently, it's really not as manky as it sounds.
PeachandBlack · 20/02/2015 10:40

I love my bed. I also love my shower.
