To think what he said in his sleep is evidence of an affair?

My husband has come back from a business trip this weekend having been in Latin America for the last two weeks. Last night in his sleep he was having a 'sexy dream' and I could hear him say things like 'muy bonita' and groining then he was saying' mi amor, mi amor' (My love).

I woke him up and confronted him, he claims that he cant remember the dream and he thinks the only thing it can be is because he has watched some soft porn in Spanish. What do you think?

Not obvious at all

I pictured this bloke thrusting his hips in a particularly Mediterranean way while he re enacted his Spanish porn viewing

AnyFucker · 09/02/2015 09:54

It's a dream. It's not real

This is true of much of Mumsnet (nods wisely)

NeedABumChange · 09/02/2015 09:56

Maybe he came home horny as he hadn't had any sex and missed you?

Pagwatch · 09/02/2015 09:56

Grin at AF.

Stinkle · 09/02/2015 09:57

Dreams are weird.

I've had a Jimmy Carr sex dream, last night I dreamed something odd involving dragons (I can't really remember it now)

DH says all sorts of crap when he's asleep - we had a very odd conversation about salt and vinegar crisps one night. He was fast asleep

Your subconscious comes up with all sorts of weird stuff, I wouldn't assume he's having an affair

Gosh I would be in massive trouble id DH got offended by what I dreamt about Grin. Last night I had a sex dream involving Harry Styles. I feel filthy. I may well have told him I love him in my dream too.

Bettybodybooboo · 09/02/2015 10:04

AF good point.

I try every bloody night to have a David Beckham/Benadict Cummerbatch sandwich with me as the meat but managed prince Charles and Tom hanks! Most disturbing.

Op really seriously! I would LTB for groining! Sounds messy.

Tyzer85 · 09/02/2015 10:06

OP you're being paranoid and very unreasonable.

lennon80 · 09/02/2015 10:10

That is what I want to hear - that I am being paranoid. :)

I dreamt I slept with Hitler just a few weeks ago - don't judge me it was basically a holocaust dream in reverse, so Hitler et al were onthe run from some Jews. I should not watch documenteris before bed!

SenatusPopulusqueRomanorum · 09/02/2015 10:11

DH once sulked for weeks because he had a dream where I was having sex with someone else. Hmm
Apparently it was my fault.

BuzzardBird · 09/02/2015 10:12

The other night I dreamt of an aeroplane crashing and heard the noise it made as it hit the water. The first thing I saw when I woke up the next morning was that air disaster last week where the plane hit the bridge and landed in the water. Based on your thoughts, did I cause it?

veryseriousgirl · 09/02/2015 10:12

Definitely being paranoid. :) I would be absolutely mortified if DH thought I wanted to leave him for the surprisingly steamy in my absurd mind David Miliband!

00100001 · 09/02/2015 10:15

"I cant help feeling hurt though, I have dreamt of having sex with other people but I don't think I have ever said I love you to another man in my dreams."

How do you KNOW?

Also, if you did that would make you a cheater somehow???

HighwayDragon · 09/02/2015 10:16

Senatus, I've done that before woke up crying woke him up and sent him to the sofa, he was very accommodating bless him Grin

SocialMediaAddict · 09/02/2015 10:16

DH said I called out for Jeff in my sleep a few weeks ago. I don't know a Jeff and I'm definitely not having an affair.

Iggly · 09/02/2015 10:18

How do you know he wasn't talking to you in the dream?

NCIS · 09/02/2015 10:21

I said I love you to another woman from work in my dream the other night, I'm not gay(she is) and although she is a friend I don't fancy her as far as I know. Made me smile when I next saw her but I'm never going to tell her about my dream.

We were having sex in the dream and I don't know if I was saying it out loud, if my DH had heard he wouldn't have missed a chance to tease me about it.

lennon80 · 09/02/2015 10:25

Iggly - because he said it in Spanish.

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. I know deep down I am being over sensitive but when he has been away for weeks then comes back and does this it I cant help the way I feel.

I had a dream last night that all my teeth fell out. It felt very real. Got up put all the lights on and rushed to the bathroom to check they were all still there. Grin My sexy dreams usually involve Simon Cowell...!

Gemzybelle · 09/02/2015 10:28

Feel slightly let down that groining was a typo Grin

I have had wildly realistic sex dreams with Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead. Sadly, these events have never taken place in real life.

Just forget it. Its not worth getting upset about Flowers

Mehitabel6 · 09/02/2015 10:34

I talk a lot in my sleep- I would hate people to take it seriously!

DoJo · 09/02/2015 10:38

Iggly - because he said it in Spanish.

You cannot apply the logic of waking life to a dream! There are no rules in the subconscious which govern the language in which someone must be addressed in a dream. And if he's been watching Spanish porn and thinking about you, then I would say it was not only possible but likely that he would.

atticusclaw · 09/02/2015 10:43

I had sex with Michael Jackson in a dream once at about the time of the court case and I felt deeply in love with him in my dream.

I have also been madly in love with Robbie Williams on more than one occasion.
